I wanted to hunt for some landrace genetics of this particular strain when I visit the hills of vietnam but to my understanding it only exists in american growers clostets now for the most part as viet dalat and black took a backseat to the new age higher yielding hybrids of today.
did you have a particular question about it? ive done a bit of research myself.

Then I intend to eventually go through the numbers. Will also by hybids with many a thing to try later. I was gifted them and hope they are something special, although I expect to find something better when there is way more to look through.

should be some pretty decent gear, gypsy did a lot of world traveling to get the landraces he sourced.

what about it intrigues you? plenty of starins much more potent, higher yielding, better looking, less leafy, better tasing/smelling IMO what makes you want some black?

Im more of a collector, and I have a friend of lets say older age who wants some as well. I'm not all about potency. Im going to be trying for Colombian gold and black as well, Durban Poison and many more Landrace strains

This was the early eighties I was like 17. It was from bag seed. I let it hang before trimming and I let it get dry...Real dry! it still turned out good (wasn't frosty, taste was spicy). I got two seeds and one of them lived the other died. Sucks because I remember throwing away so many seeds from bags back then. That's kind of why I'm looking for some of these strains, hoping to feel that way again

yeah its dangerous as hell down in those latin american shit holes and most of the landraces have either had there gene pools polluted by hybrids or completely replaced by them unless youve got the right contacts

Vietnamese Black has been in hiding here in Mi for a long while now. I have some old seeds of it that I should germinate this year for a little preservation project... I know I am not the only one here in Michigan hanging onto the old stock
