AUTOS are the easiest yo grow and start , many growers like the fuss and control of PHOTO plants . Bottom line for autos , YOU CAN TRAIN them , you can LST them .
Topping , FIM or SuperCrop is NOT recommended because this type of plant doesn't have the " time " to heal due it's life cycle. This is where most growers goof up , thinking you can treat plants like regular strains. As far as yield , they have produce extremely well for being a short grow.

I recommend no smaller than a 3 gallon container , a 5 gallon will make a much nicer larger plant. You will also see that the plants symmetry ( growth structure ) is much more desirable. I have never had rogue side branching or underperforming bottom branching.

For personnel meds , you can't beat it. You can run multiple strains under ONE light schedule without the normal veg and Flip to 12/12 bullshit. Anyone that can't grow an AUTO properly , can't grow.

In fairness, you can do that with photosensitive by running 12/12 from seed. I'm on my second one. It's not bad. Plants aren't as bushy and full as an auto. But, I'm running 30% less electicity and wear and tear on the light too. It's an option for perpetual grow, pulling 20-30g each plant.
