Is this a boy?

ya see, Like I said, could just be fat Cylax, this has happened to me where it looked as if it were going to be a seed pod, but then ended up being a really bulky Bud forming with pistols that start to come out the top. Give her more time bud ;) As far as I can see, it's a female.
Yes I got really lucky, all four sour d turned out to be girls and are showing big potential. I did have one indica male that i'm about to collect pollen from. Going to give seed making a try since I really love the short bushy "boy" scout.

Do you guys top your plants? I used to top once and then used a chicken wire screen to separate the bud sites... i had very nice results (8 oz from 150watt hps and some t12s, two small plants), however... .When I researched it and actually looked at what I was doing.... I was removing a top, not adding any. two new mystical shoots are not added to the plant, its simply that the existing sites for branches shoot up. Therefore, supercropping, bending the stems to promote side branching, accomplishes the same thing without losing your main cola. My plants recover MUCH faster from this vs. topping. That is the method I'm using now and I'm very impressed so far. I plan to do a side by side clone comparison ... topping vs. supercropping only but it seems pretty clear from other journals that attempt these experiments, its best to wait till I'm done and post the results... some people are assholes =)

It's pretty much personal preference depending on the grower and the setup, however I have had great result when topping, and I'll honestly never go back.. Always top IMHO! How this works, is remove that single top node, makes the plant think that "Oh no! my top is gone! Gotta find a replacement!" So not only does it go down to the next 2 nodes suddenly thinking that they are the top, but every single node on the plant, thinks its suddenly the top, thus promotes numerous bud sites/mini colas all over, as opposed to 1 main Cola throughout the plant.
