well ive just checked and summaster 600 w ballast 3.0 amp 50 hz 240 v
extreme lighting 3.0 50 hz 240 v and maxi bright 600 w 3.0 amp 50 hz 240 v

It would be approx 6 A on the 750W PS. All requiring higher amperage ratings. You should consider the gauge of the wire and that it may not be sufficient for todays electronics power consumption and draw. As old as the wire is, it may get hotter quicker than the new fuse used to protect is. Who's to say there isn't a 20A fuse on wire rated at a lesser amperage. Also, just a heads up with extension cords: the longer they are, the less efficient they become causing higher amp draw to make the cords hot/melt.
its not hard to run a wire from the fuse box to the grow its not exactly a massive setup and depending how far the room from the fuse box it wouldnt cost much for the decent cable to run setup straight to fuse box

600w, it's a 600w HPS and a LED that draws 280w as well as a centrifugal fan which draws about 115 or so watts. Also the few other electronics in my room, computer and tv, comp is maybe 850, tv maybe 400. As I said though I'd run an extension cord for the 600w to the living room that way there'd only be about 600w on each fuse.

Wait... that can't be right.... just did the math on that and my damn computer + tv take up way more than both my lights... I think I may be mistaken about how much the comp takes, I think it's an 850w PS but I could be mistaken, maybe closer to a 750w, but still.. As for the tv. I looked it up on google, someone said a 55" LED tv takes around 400
That's 850w at 12 Volts. So actually maybe 85-100 watts draw at the wall.(I think that's right, if not, someone will be around to crucify me in a minute)

No choice at this point, all I can do is try to mitigate it by doing as I said above and splitting the power use over multiple fuses. I didn't spent 1000$ just to give up now.
NO CHOICE HUH?

Honest question. How many of you would want to live in the apartment next door to THAT guy?

Under no circumstances, grow op or no grow op. I would not want to reside next to the OP. :spew:

If those are 240v, you can't plug them into a regular 110v wall socket.

Don't skimp on safety with electricity. My buddy tried growing in his 3rd floor bedroom, 600w light some fans..his house had the old screw in fuses. He came home to two black burns running along his floor..no power to his grow..found out the 3rd floor was never remolded and still had the knob and tube running under the floorboards..guess what those two black streaks were...luckily the fuse let go before anything actually caught on fire

Umm if you were listening they said in that video that a room of the appartment had been converted for growing. I'm guessing they didn't mean a closet, there's a good chance that moron had like 4-6+ 1000w lights going in that room.

On a side note I'm using a magnetic ballast, not digital, so it looks a fair bit diff from the pictures posted on this thread

Lol only thing with those is. They my have one to three rooms on a fuse. So find out ,what's running on that fuses. And know the amps, then do the math.

Growing weed in a room is just a fire waiting to happen any where.

600 would not do that alone. He had more stuff on that fuse. That's why the fuse blowed like that.

He had a 600W light, 6" exhaust fan, a floor fan, an air pump and a heating mat under the pots. On top of that the room next to it was on the same circuit, but that only had the ceiling light/fan was ever used..it was mostly storage. It wasn't alot of power, but at the time everything was on for 24hrs straight..but we figured he was pulling around 12 amps on a 10 amp circuit..so it took awhile for it to heat up to the point of popping. That house was so old and F'ed up..knob and tube, lead plumbing( I probably drank hundreds of gallons of water from his house before finding out about this one day helping him fix a leak..they didn't even know!!) and it was haunted. I'm glad he's out of there
