Fell at work and landed on my head, supervisor found me unconcious and bleeding from my ear. Fractured skull, subdural hematoma, and a ruptured ear drum. I woke up in the hospital a completely different person compared to who I was when I left for work that morning. Its been 6 years and I still cant work. I suffer from daily post traumatic headaches, as well as all the psychological shit that chronic pain and brain injuries tend to bring up like, depression, and anxiety.

I knew a guy that got the top knuckle of his MIDDLE finger ripped of by some heavy machinery. He said it was weird picking up chips and stuff, because his "pinchers" were gone.

Yea it did my hand was 3rd degree face was second degree and parts of my leg was 1st degree. My finger (I am a auto technician) was cut off as I was checking a car a Co worker came by and started the car.... and thats what happens. they both took about 4 months to heal to were I could work again.

My finger happened in Jan 2011 my child was born April 2011 and it still hurts if I hit it against somethin. My child holds that finger only will not hold another finger as she holds it she kinda picks at it and it hurts and I get chills etc from it. I deal with it and it's slowly getting better. Fortunately I am a lefty so it all worked out except when the burn happened to my left hand I felt completely retarded could do nothing with my right hand but I learned

Just that part of the story my fingerless co-worker told me always stuck out. How hard it was to pick up chips from a bowl. Or anything really.
Yup he's right picking up anything sucks just gotta learn to.make the middle finger dominant and as well as that's the new pointing finger... but most don't like it when I point at them with it

I agree especially when it's a truly messed up way it happened. a friend of a friend fell off a boat while it was running and his arm got sliced a couple good times by proppeller... we had to hold roughly 6 inch slabs of skin to his arm as we rushed him to e.r. that was pretty fucking intense you could see bones and everything it was pretty nasty but it was super badass. it sucks for him but..... never play drunk superman on the front of a boat when waves are coming
