my quest for seeds

I got the emerald bb headband. Its ready to be chopped. I took a sample and it smells real cheesey. It smelled more earthy like dirt while it was growing (in hydro) and there was a little blueberry when it wasgrowing. The buds are small and covered in leaves but they are verry compact. I smoked some and it was really good but still green, it needs to cure. Im glad you decided to keep it.
Can you post a pic

The one in the led light is a clone that i switched to 12 hours on march 21 and the other pic is the top cola of the finished one. Ill put up more pics when i finish trimming it.
Nice. I still have one seed left of the blueberry headband. Would love to grow it out just wouldn't know when I wold be able to. I think I'll save it for when I move into my house. And do and out door grow with it and see what it can do

I finished trimming some of it. There were a few small male parts but they werent big enough for pollen. Most of them were still green. If you can get the male parts to show early enough you should be good.

Ok I think I tried to spray too early at first so I got real preflowers now I will test my luck again. I need more spray now. I'm going to spray one whole plant and use it to make a cross. So it will be e.t. Blueberry headband x dinafem white widow.. Should be fun....I think I will make the w.w. The baby momma

Lol I'm trying to produce seeds as well, it's my first grow and I'm lucky to have even gotten the dank seeds I did from my dealer. (The weed he sells is very good and I expect the seeds he gave me were from a bag of good weed) after I got around 20 seeds I couldn't find anymore, the guy never replies to my message, I fear the worst had came to him and he got caught by the law. Anyways. I decided that for this first grow of mine I will pollinate all my females so that I have a lot of seeds for the next couple of years to come, and I won't have to deal with getting the Mary Janes genetics ever again. I'm going to keep the fastest growing and most healthy looking male plant and a back up in case it dies. Quick question, does fertilized flower produce less bud then underutilized or unseeded bud? I'm sure it takes up space and is annoying at times, but I mean, an I looking at ounces of loss do to seed production?

Most of the time it's easy to say you will get 50/50 male and females. I wouldn't pollenate all my plants cuz it's not really needed. One plant can produce 100s of seeds. And if you got 20 seeds at one time that was a hermy plants and the chances you get more are really high... If I were you would spend $20-30 on herbie seeds and look under cheapest seeds. Good weeds starts from good genes. If that's not the case for you. Grow them out. You can choose to pollenate one branch with pollen....use a tooth pick....roll it around in the pollen and then rub it on the female flowers... If you do the whole plant there will be barely and bud and the high will be crap...the plant will use on it energy to make seeds

thats a good idea, i will now only pollinate 1 or 2 heads of my most prestigious female plant

Yeah I hear the bb headband herms a lot. That why my idea was to just turn the whole plant to a male and used that on the white widow. I want to do it before it herms just in case. But now I don't have any spray and don't no where I can get silver local

So what's this mineral stuff you've been talking about? Does it like stress out the plant enough to make it produce pollen sacks? How does it work?

It turned out really good, its been curing for two weeks and the hermying wasnt too bad. You cant notice it after its trimmed.

You probably dont need the coloidal silver. You can stress it into making male flowers by messing up the light schedule or throwing the PH out of balance.

That's not too smart. If you stress it you will pass on that stress trait and the seeds wil have a high chance of stress and hermy...with spraying the plant from what I understand is not stress but you are changing the hormone make up but since there isn't a male present the female is having sex with itself.

The spray I'm thinking of making is colloidal silver...people use it for health reasons. I don't know anyone who has used it I know personally. But just look it up

Colloidal Silver is available from health food stores . And you can make your own with a couple of silver coins and a 9-volt battery. This method strips silver ions into Distilled water. Super easy.

You can HARVEST a male for its pollen ( I pull the offending male ) cut the branches
( carefully away from your girls ) and shake each into a large clear plastic bag. Once you get the pollen , grab a small brush ( steal one from your GF or wife ) , cut your fans and pick a couple of bud sites ( choose some of the lower growth branches ).

Brush the flowers with your dust ( on the pistils ) , it doesn't take much. Target the flowers.
The pollinated branches will stop budding and begin seeding , the rest of the plant can continue to harvest. Seeds take up to 6 weeks to mature , so you can harvest the original buds and leave the seeds to mature. Pick good strains , the best genetics are what you want. Also the pollen you harvested can be used to " seed " your other females in the same manner and you will have a shitload of seeds.

This is a simple way to SEED a plant without gambling with colloidal silver.
There is no rule or accurate rate to use colloidal silver , I tried once a day on my girls but prefer direct pollination of buds.

Only thing for me is that I have al fem seeds so the 2 plants I'm growing now are fem. I will try to make the cs which wouldn't be a gamble if it works
