to tell a male from a female u have to look between the nodes, and idk what u mean about sending them to dark and light periods, they should already have been in that unless u are doin 24/7 light on it. what strain is that thing?

no idea what strain. but as you can see its was getting heat stroke from too much sun. so I have it in the shade now maybie this has triggered budding ?

from direct sunlight to indirect, maybe. cant tell u for sure tho. but the leaves are lookin a little yellow, it could be a few things tho like nitro def, common in a bunch of grows.

yeah I got some fish emulsion hopefully that will sort it out if its nitrogen. Like you say its very pale looking especially at the bottom nearly white. Also getting little red eggs on the leaves at least they look like eggs dont know what they are.

Nice looking plant (aside from the lower leaf problem). Looks to me to be a Sativa dominant strain.... Good news: nice heady high Bad news: You're in for a long grow.... likely 10-14 weeks flowering. :blsmoke:

so you saying in 10 to 14 weeks i gotta switch to light dark periods to get it to flower or will it natuarlly.

I'm saying when it does start flowering it's going to take between 10 - 14 weeks to finish up (versus a typical 8-10 week cycle for indica dominant).

If you are growing indoors then you control when flowering starts by changing the light cycle to 12/12 (you can do this whenever you want). If you are growing outdoors then the flowering cycle is triggered by the change in daylight hours as the summer season eases into autumn.

Either way.... nothing is set in stone.... what I posted about the cycle is simply "typical" for Sativa. Don't be bummed either... most people LOVE Sativa for it's heady high.... it just takes a little more patience to grow.... the waiting gets hard near the end... especially if you are out of smoke

are u doin 24/7 light? if so then id switch to 12/12 at around a foot n a half, but that thing is small so idk how tall it can actually get. u can switch to flower whenever really, thats up to u. and as for the red eggs....id look into that if i were u, could be spider mites and ur whole plant will be gone

Female Male. how big must a plant grow b4 sending to dark and light periods.
can anyone tell me how my plant looks, and how much longer you would think until harvest. It is 3.5 weeks into flowering, however most the hairs are red, and there are a decent amount of crystals.

Judging by those pictures you have a long way to go still. Another 5 weeks at least. :blsmoke:

You better get on top of that PRONTO! Get your camera and take a closeup of a leaf. Without a picture I'm guessing spider mites like the other poster said...

If you don't get on this right away you will, without a doubt, lose your plant :(

cant tell much from those pics, they are way to small, anyway i would say 4/5 more weeks if indica..or 6/10 if sativa..
