Hey there, I'm out here in washington state licensed and legal for a few plants, anywhoo ive got one 2fast 2 vast under a double 40w cfl 6500k. I saw a Lil light burn with my microscope eyes so I moved the light 3" away instead of two. No nutes until cotyledons die. Gonna gradually add CFLs I want to use 6 40w 6500k for veg and 6 2700k and 2 6700k for flower. And using h3ads coco formula, I'm 80% coco 20% perlite. Any suggestions? Thank you! Temps are 70-80 degrees f and about 30% humidity 40% ish

1 change out the lights ..........use a led...... cfls are not worth the money/heat once the plant grows up
a) for now raise the lights atleast 4/5 inches and check them every day raising them more
b) your legal think about using outside are no cloud days are 150k lumens and cloudly days 100k lumens (alot more then u are giving the plant now)

2 u need to start feeding it grow and rooting (u are coco that has nothing for the roots to use)

He might dont want to spend the money on led but cfls do work fine. Lucky me my local dollar store has 40 watts cfls. Nice and fat...make sure you put a fan on that plant

Thanks! I haven't fed it any nutes yet I'm afraid ill burn her I've read enough that I'm waiting until the cotyledons die to start at 1\2 strength. .. I'm going to buy the general hydro 300w led seems good for a scrog 3x3. I've raised the lights but she is still not stretching. Am I over thinking this? I've read it's good to not have stretching .

I've always kept cfls about 2 to 3 inches away unless it gets to hot. With cfls you want to get them as close as you can. You don't want them to stretch because you'll have tall lanky plants that can't hold their weight later on in flowering. It's a good thing that you're plant is not stretching.

Thanks! I'll lower them back. I'm thinking about buying the Apollo 300w (170w actual ) led on amazon and using my clamp cfl lights for the side of the plants for some added lumens, does that sound good? 300w led panel + 4-6 Cfls ? Give or take a 3x3 space in my backyard .

I'd rather not do an outdoor grow while I'm a noob lol sorry

I just started with led so I'm not the one to ask about that. From everything I've read and been told though they say with brands like Apollo you want about 40-45 watts per square foot. If your light is 170 watts in 3x3 space your at about 19 watts per square foot but if your adding in 6 cfls it should be enough. Maybee the experts will chime in with some more help on that one.
