Flowering Young Plants

If this question has already been answered feel to direct me to another page.

I am new to medical marijuana. I have a 4'x4'x6' room. My new partner (who is helping me along, but admits he doesn't know everything) has asked me to flower 6 1-month old plants.

I'm using a new Galaxy ballast with a 600w bulb.
Tonight I am putting them on a 12hour cycle and will begin watering with FloraNova Grow for 2 weeks then switch to Sugar Peak Bloom (it's what I have available to me).

Does anyone have any notions as to what to expect, or what to watch out for in blooming such young plants?

i'd veg a little longer. they dont have many shoots nor are they bushy enough. expect very minimal gains, if you do flower.
if i were you, i'd bend and supercrop them ladies and wait a few more weeks to flip the lights to 12-12

Get your light closer to the tops of your plants. They look stretchy, droopy and weak. How far is your HPS away from them? What is your soil mix and why is your fan blowing air at the wall?

I'd move the light closer and let them veg at least another 2 weeks. I take it they were clones when you got them? rooted? Honestly they should be a lot thicker and fuller. What strain is that? maybe it's just a lanky lady.

With that said I grow 12/12 from seed, you can flip whenever you want. But even my 12/12 from seed plants have thicker stalks then those gals

My partner started me off with these plants and I am beginning a one-month rotation. tye next ones will be larger. We are just using these plants so I can begin experimenting with the stage.

My HPS is 2 1/2 feet from my tallest plant. Is that too far away?

My soil is pro mix. I just put them in larger pots on Sunday.

My fan is kind of janky and doesn't oscillate well. pointing it at the wall gave me the best breeze without shaking the plants too much. Do you blow your fan right at the plants?

Mr Head. Are you growing12-12 with MH bulb then switching to HPS?

no hps all the way threw. they start about 2 feet from the light as seedlings and get transpanted from solo cups to 2 gallons when I see preflowers then they flower out under the same light for 8+ weeks. I end up with roughly 2 foot tall plants on avg. Was running from seed like this until I found something special I wanted to dedicate my space to. Been topping them lately too which has increased my yield quite abit.

and yes I'd drop that light down a foot probably :) put your hand at the top of your plants when you move it down if it feels hot then it's too close, slightly warm is ok, you say you have a nice breeze. Watch for signs of the leaves tacoing it's a sign of heat stress.

Yes! It should be 1 feet away at this stage, but be careful because too much heat can burn your plants!

How often do you water? Have you fed them yet or not?

Yes! Always use a low-speed fan on them to make their stems bend VERY LIGHTLY, without breaking them. This strengthens the stems.

Great information. Thanks!
also, if possible in the near future look at air cooled hoods, you can get MUCH more lumens at those gals if you did it that way, depending on your temps you can direct the exhaust to the wall to swirl the air, if you have it setup the right way the fresh air will be always provided to your plants.
Works well, provided it's not hot where you are.
then you could eliminate the one amp or so of electricity that the fan uses

Hessam.

I watered them Sunday when I put them I n larger pots. Then I watered them Monday, as the new soil dried and compacted. Yesterday was the first day of feeding them with FloraNova Grow.

I've been feeling the soil and choosing to water based in its dampness.
