12/12 doesnt apply to outdoors i have an indica strain probly a kush. germed it and planted it june 15 and im pretty sure it just started flowering a few days ago and im in so cal and i thinking it should be ready by mid october or so and it probly gets like 15 hrs of light 7-8 of direct sunlight but it is starting to get darker sooner and my unknown sativas are only showing preflowers and not flowerin so i think dependin on the strain it will flower when the time is right:peace:

My outdoor plants have started to flower. They are about 4 ft tall as well, very bushy tho. And they started showing preflowers about two, or three wks ago. Now they have nice lil bud tips wit tons of white hairs. Looks very nice to see that dark green adorned with nice white tips, and heads.

meaning it doesnt have to be 12 hrs of light 12 hrs of dark for your plant to start flowering. I.E. they can flower at 14/10 it just has to be close to 12/12 but 12/12 is used by most indoor growers
