Well if you would of just said fairy tales without the truth word are dance would of been shorter. And if you don't know what the truth is you should just stick with the fairytales.
so you saying...If you don't know the truth stick with what you know to be false...Man you would even have to admit how dumb you sound.

I don't choke down the stories like that. I do wonder how we came to be here though. Like I said I don't go to church and I don't read the stories so I can't help you with that one.

I believe that there had to be adults around to feed the babies in the beginning and that is as far as I go, to be honest.
Who fed the adults when they were babies?

Now you've done it!

All of us will be wondering Who fed the babies???

I guess we'll have to go with "your belief."

You can make up your own whopper if you like, and share it with your forum. Maybe I could believe your story more than mine. Give it your best shot.

Funny thread, I have to admit.

I am a complete atheist. I agree with LF and others that it is all just fairy tails.

Have you ever been cornered by a hard core evangelical giving you the "get right with God or burn in hell" business? It's annoying as hell, and all you want is to be someplace else. I think many (not all) true believers are actually insane.

Hard core atheists are just as annoying though. I get it. You think religion is ridiculous. So do I. You are not making any converts by being an annoying asshole, though.

Here is a paradox for you: Some very smart people are religious, even some very smart scientists. I don't understand how a person trained in science can accept the "6,000 year old Earth concept" and at the same time use and trust carbon-dating. I have met such people.

Bottom line for me is to leave religious people alone to practice their beliefs and to keep my skepticism to myself. I don't sit around with my atheist friends making fun of the "rubes". That is juvenile, ala Paddy, and low class.

Nitro, evolution is actually a very coherent explanation of how we came to be, and it does not rely on self-sufficient babies. There is still lots to learn about evolution but that is really just filling in the details. The only significant mystery left unanswered is how "life" arose from "non-life".

Well you are an adult and who feeds you?
Yeah, I'm an adult now, but what about when I was a baby? Who fed the adults in your creationist scenario when they were babies? Do you see the issue of infinite regress?

Evolution is the way we got here (not how we started, two different things)

Juvenile, huh?

You know what I think is juvenile?

The belief that a cosmic Jewish zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree

Or the fact that more than 2 billion people claim they subscribe to this belief

Every atheist I know would leave religious people alone to practice their beliefs if that's what they did, but they don't, this thread is direct evidence of that. Retarded religious fanatics went to Uganda and preached this hateful message towards gay people because they're losing ground here in America. See the sinister shit they did? They targeted a less educated population (just like they do when they indoctrinate kids) and shoveled this bullshit down their throats and that led directly to the deaths of multiple people.

And you were one of the first members to defend Scott Lively when this was first posted.

Organized religion has had a pass to get away with bullshit like this that you support for too long, so you can call me juvenile all you want, it doesn't bother me one bit

I haven't checked him out much. I am back in hawaii with no TV so I am not paying attention to much politics except what I read here at RIU. Later on I will google him up.

Sanders seems like a loony, but decent, human being. Hillary seems like a sane, but malevolent beast.

Don't make me think of Hillary's bush. Shudder.

Uganda's problems are Uganda's. I am surprised that you are publicly admitting to the left's condescension of black people.

Freedom of religion is a pretty important American concept. The left is going to regret their war on civil liberties, religious freedom being one of them.

no, he's trying to minimize and sweep under the rug the ugly face of the power structure he supports.

if it was about muslims he'd be singing a much different tune.
a few posts later...

You must be confused with what Muslims do to gays and women that cheat on their husbands or girl friends. I believe you would have your hands full trying to fix that shit.
Don't forget the "honor" killings, genocide, child torture and killings. Really a sick religion.

i rest my case.

I have ruled out evolution for the fact that a baby would run out of shit before it's first meal and then die. So some times I think aliens may have brought us to this planet and dumped off some people that were capable of feeding the young until it worked, but there is no proof of that either as far as I know.
you seriously can't make up stupider shit than this.

what you're calling "freedom of religion" is better described as "crimes against humanity".

crafting legislation that puts people to death for being gay is not a fundamental right any human enjoys.

'seems'..i don't like that word.

why? because when the wind messes his hair, he doesn't run to the tanning salon or perhaps he should just get a can of aqua-net like the chain-smoker does?

why don't we start with..'but decent, human being'? more apropos.

you're on your own re: hillary's bush.
