I had an iron head sporty when i was a kid & still have it too .I haven't had a bmx since 15 years old buddy I do own a Harley Fatboy though had a Kawasaki Vulcan when I was 23 and a car maybe a truck not sure though it's been a while since I was a kid.
Flip flops on a bike is retarded. I seen what happens when a person looses control of a bike and sticks their foot down with flip flops. Its not pretty.
If said it before & i dont give a damm if it makes me a bigot , when i was running work all i cared about was production , saftey & quality in work , i prefered to use all legal Mexicans vs whites & blacks , white & black journeymen get pissed when you tell em they have to work saturday for overtime , Mexicans say thank you & can we please work sunday too .Mexicans are dedicated to everything they do man! When was the last time you met a white kid named Jesus!
How did lowering the bike help her? My dad wants to give me his '93 Soft Tail Custom but I've always struggled with that bike but have no problem with his Peace Office Electra Glide which ways 200lbs more. He says it's because it sits lower than the Soft-Tail.I had an iron head sporty when i was a kid & still have it too .
What yr FLSTF do you have ? My wife has a 93 evo i had lowered for her & used a 92 soft tail saddle & back rest to replace her factory seat with , its more comfortable than my Road King just not as quick being its carb vs injection , she has a lil buell too but hasnt been able to ride them in a few yrs , ive been riding her scooter more than my Panhead , im getting too old to be kicking bikes to start them so the shovelhead has been sitting for a while until i gave it to my son, the Road King is like riding a brick compared to her fatboy so ive been taking it out this yr & gave the Road King to our other son .
Her Fatboy is the most comfortable american bike we ever owned .
Sadly this is true. When my father was diagnosed w/ MS, not a "friend" was to be found. You nailed it. PPL don't want to face their own mortality. A serious illness brings out the best and WORST in people. The ones that were supportive and were with him until the end were his caregivers, one of which turned out to be a friend long after he quit being a caregiver. He hung around our family as a good friend to my dad.when my wifes illness started eating her alive all our white friends stopped comming over because were all in our mid 60's & her illness reminds them of their own mortality , they call & send cards but dont come by as friends .
He's right ,the lower they sit the easier they are to control & weight becoms irrelevant .How did lowering the bike help her? What a nice post , im sure your dad knew how much you guys loved him but it is fucked how friends dissapear , they all act like their gonna live forever & it hurts feelings , it hurt my wifes feelings badly , im glad your dad had a friend , were thankfull for the 2 friends we have that still come to our home to hang out as friends .Sadly this is true. My wife had her 8th surgery at 530 am this morning & the whole family is here along with all the grand kids , only our mexican couple friends bothered to come , nobody else showed up , fuck em !
Your right about disease bringing out the worst in people , when she lost the ability to drive most her friends called wanting to know if they could buy the Jaguar i gave her for our 35th anniversary, one friend even asked me why i didnt get her a nurse instead of me ( Having to care for her all the time ) that one shocked me & all i could think was WoW ! is that how he'd treat his wife
I retired to be with my wife & spend as much time as possible with her , not palm her off in some home or with strangers , all she needs is a little help doing certian things through the day , people dont see what she can do all they remember is what she cant do , i used to be bitter over it now im just numb to it & try to figure out what makes people tick .
