Online seeds aren't doing as well as free ones friends have given me! What's UP?

I spent good money on two different strains (Pure Power Plant and AK-48s), bought some other stuff from them, spent over $200 and I'm finding myself more stressed than when I've ever been growing seeds of unknown origin, unknown strain with little or no stress. They grew perfectly outside and the stem got fat really quick and had a great yield. My special seeds seem persnickity (sp) and weak. Is it because it's my first INDOOR GROW? Can anyone tell me how they are SOOO different when it comes to getting them going? I'm in day 23 and they go up and down with health.

seeds bought from online sources often come from overseas. They were grown in a different country, climate, latitude, etc. The ones you got from a buddy were probably grown pretty close to home.

if you breed out some this season, and grow them again next grow, they will be way better. They'll have acclimated to your climate. My 2 cents.

That's not how genetics work.

You'd need multiple generations of competing genetics to 'weed out' the stronger growers for a climate.

Taken today at 3 weeks (2 weeks 6 days).
Its about the thrill of the chase the strain you find most problematic are usually the ones you developed a relationship with once you give em a few runs and get em down it'll be a walk in the park keep your head up and smoke on bongsmilie:bigjoint::blsmoke:

I'm not here to argue, but if you want to give this a read, you'll be better off. I understand genetics and climate are not the same, but climitizing is is how plants work. Try not to assume you know everything. Talk to any of the big guys on here and they'd agree. Again, not here to argue.

And just because you spent a bunch of money, doesn't make you a master grower. You should do a bit more reading. My 2¢.

I dont see a problem other than maybe a little short for their age. But we need a little more info. Where did you get the seeds? Are you growing in a tent to max your light output? I dont see anything other than a couple plants sitting on a floor and thats NOT the way to grow indoors. Im assuming you are worried because they have a thin stem? Do you have them under a slight breeze from a fan to simulate the outdoors? That alone will develop a nice strong stem. Dont be concerned with the climate they came from because when you grow indoors, you CREATE the climate you are looking for yourself. They do look healthy to me though.
