Are LED's practical for a grow room? (24 ft x 12 ft)

Most people i find doing side by sides tend to be bias trying to push one side more then the other so its really unfair ,, most side by sides are LED sponsored . not saying your was there guy either way good grow not cutting either way down..
like you said you think your getting almost a pound , for some, growers they need pounds to survive
Cob / LED do grow and the tech is only going to get better with advancements but with HID there is no guessing your going to produce its how good of a grower you are that will dictate otherwise

I'll build you an led light if you want to do a comparison.

Also greangenes707 just got finished doing a run with gorilla glue under all led light, including 2 diy fixtures. Before that he did a grow using hps and his at00. If that does demonstrate potential idk what does

so with that said LED have been out for some time whats the numbers these people are pulling ???? for sure cob is new and its under wsy whats the numbers ???
Cause really effciency or not final product is what its all about YIELD you see these 336 watt LED pulling 1.5 times that or 3 times that ??? or Cob to make it worth it
fuck the efficiency lets talk real time numbers what most people are pulling they say some 300 watt led or 400 watt LED is comparible or beats a 1000 ??? yet i think oh really ?? i can stick 100 plants in a room 1 k use paraboiic hood and destroy any LED grow or cob in the fucking world lets face problems with cob / led is just that amount of light it can spread
I find funny how some rectangular LED is suppose to cover lets say 5 x 5 when you all talk LAWS and physics yet your hypocrites .
At the same time Shit i should do it this fall lol place 70 - 100 plants in one sealed room with c02 and see just keep moving plants around hahaha .. then if pull some stupid yield then use that as the LED to beat yield that grow was 1 k VEG then added another 1000 watt in flower so the real answer is can that LED grow 100 plants lol the last picture is a 26 oz bottle :)

Efficiency determines how many watts are required for any particular space regardless of light source. You could grow pounds with CFL if you could pack 2000 watts in a 4x4.

But hey, now that you're downing efficiency at least you understand LEDs are more efficient when done right. Good job learning some stuff bro!

BTW your pictures look like you have spider mites. I see spotty leaves and a bit of nute burn all over in that. Need to work on your hygiene bro.

Weather cob's have been shown to beat hps in a head to head pictorial grow is really not even an issue. The fact that people on here are building their own lights from scratch is just purely bad ass!
My prediction is that in the long run the only "commercial" growers to survive and remain profitable will be those who got their roots in forums like this and understand how to do it more efficiently and produce a better quality.
Definitely not the grab 4 1k hps, slap them up and throw 40 mite infested clones in 5 gallon pots under them mentality of most of the growers around here.
Then they scratch their head at the end wondering why they didn't make what they had dreamed of and are still stuck with a whopper of a power bill to boot

I see the point, but i dont think 2k of cfl's would make a pound though lol, more like 5/6 ounces

My best with CFL was .6 GPW under t5s. so yea, lbs under 2000 watts... just not possible to get 2000w of T5 in a 4x4 though.

.6 gpw yes. But you can only have so much top cola's in that amount of space not counting the bulbs lighting each other up at 2kw lol. So i agree, not possible

why is the de better then a standard 1k? Can you actually give me a legitimate reason why? Not somebody else just you what makes it so much better?
