image.jpg Basically I can't raise my light anymore for my mother and I topped her about 3-4 days ago for the first time

Now she's hittin the light again ...

How much is too much topping ??
And how often is too often....?

I've also cut a 7-8 clones off her like 3-4 days ago as well

Even if you continue to top she will still grow taller and hit the lights. If raising the light is not an option you can cut the plant around 6" under the light to shorten it. It will be fine, the lower branches will start to grow up. Your going to keep running into this problem though. Imo if I were in your situation I would have more mothers ready to swap this one out so you have a continuous cycle of mothers. When one gets too big, flower it or toss it and you will have another one or two ready to replace it.

How do you get em so bushy and thick?

Mine looks weak compared to that...
Its as simple as better lighting.

Or as difficult as advanced training techniques.

But with better lighting you should get some nice bushy plants depending on genetics. Hell even with CFLs i get bushes

I would suggest just bending her over, or taking a shitload of clones if you need them like others suggested.

In the future, keep your light as close as possible to your plant and raise it as you allow your plant to grow up. Im using an eight bulb T5 fixture currently, and while I knew more lite = thicker growth I hadnt expected my girl to get so bushy. I attempted a mainline on her (theres a big post with Mainlin in the name, read it if you have time) and got pretty close, then I just kept the light about two inches away or so from the top of the plant.

Im still vegging, waiting for clones to take root before I flip to flower, but this is the bushiest I have managed to get a plant. Looks a lot like ebcrews auto a few posts up, and I have never had that thick of a canopy :P

Anyhow, good luck with your grow! Just remember to train early and often, and to keep your light as close as you can throughout the grow. And dont be scared to train, the plant can take it. Kind of like a Bonsai I guess.
