top shelf pick n mix on attitude

Ok. Well if that's how you want to play it do what I use to do...

Split up your budget. Buy a few high price genetics worth buying and a few more modest priced but still very worth it genetics.

Not all the good stuff is expensive.

For cheaper options look into seedsman original skunk #1. Seedsman white widow is about the same price usually and while not exactly the original it's still very good smoke. At least from what I found.

Even though you don't want to grow packs. I grew a pack of white widow. They were well bred. Pretty uniform to each other. You wouldn't mistake them for clones but even at first glance you just knew all were related.

Also...dinafem original amnesia. I bought one pick and mix and Idk if I grew it masterfully or I hit the lottery but one hit gets you more than a simple head change. Pretty potent.

Want a Indica couch lock? Sensi star by paradise. Nice smoke. Very Indica (I think 90%ish) sticky icky lol

White berry as I said before is also pretty good. I grew a 5 pack of them and they were pretty damn nice. 2 or 3 phenos I think. The starburst pheno is the one you want. Not highest yield but fastest finisher. Densest buds. The smell!

White berry is good for all day/any time of day u want.

Those are just a few I've grown that I liked for growth or high

I hear ya, I'm deff paying the lottery, but who's seeds are a best bet to play the lottery on.

I'd rather grow 100 single seeds of different strains that 100 seeds of a few strains. I like variety. And the way I see it if you grow out the same number of seeds pick n mix our by the pack your odds are about the same to find a keeper, 1 in 20 seeds or so... So why not enjoy a variety along the way
Then it doesn't matter what companies you look at because if you are just hoping to just get lucky, theoretically it could happen with any strain. You still have a 1 in literally thousands chance of finding something special. Will you find some great phenotypes in your quest, hell yes, but will you find that diamond in the rough?

I know a lot of people hate him, but cali con has some plants that breeders have scored real nice cuts, since you're feeling lucky I'd say snag on some of theirs.

Working smarter is seeding your garden waiting 3 months and then picking all the seeds out that most likely will be bunk?

You're even less likely to find what you're looking for from seeds made from 2 random strains that weren't that great to begin with. Breeding the same strain together is the same deal if you don't make decent selections.

Seems like working way harder to me... you have to grow out those seeds after you make em...

My minds blown that someone could think that properly seeding a garden is less work then growing sensi. Enjoy cleaning after the pollen bomb drops because you won't be growing sensimillia in that space until it's cleaned top to bottom, and probably adjacent rooms in your house too depending on your ventilation and how bad it throws the pollen around.

You can definitely find some dank dank in the pick n mix. I have ran over 170 females so far and the 10 best that came from seed can hold their own with clone onlys. More important than finding the "holy grail" is finding 5-10 very dank ladies and rotate them and or mix them.

The way I see it, you have a better chance of finding something dank from seed by growing properly feminized F1 hybrids that used a pair of dank clone-only crossed. That takes the breeders ability to select males out of the equation. All they have to do is grow out the progeny to see if it is super dank and you have a winner. The only downside, it seems like many breeders are not testing for herm sensitivity, but that applies to both regs and fems anyway.

So with that in mind, for fem singles I would recommend
Cali Connection Alien OG
DNA
Reserva Privada
HSO EMDOG
TH Seeds.

If you want to stick with reg singles, Rare Dankness or OGRaskal are a good place to start. Maybe TGA but that can take some legwork.

I think you make a good point, it's a numbers game.

I gotta dip back into that EmDog, I really liked the one I grew but she cloned SUPER slow and leafy as all get out which is something I generally try to stay away from but she had a great taste and effect so I ran her 2-3 times. That was 1 seed from a 3 pack. She was really nice on the seed run then cloned she went to a leafy mess. Took 20+ days to clone.

I grab a 10 pack of stuff I am interested in generally when they have good freebies on, I grow out a couple plants and see what the strain has to offer then move on to something else. I don't know exactly how many seeds I've grown out but I've only found 1 plant I think is worth keeping for any length of time in 4 years. I was pleasantly surprised when I found her she was a freebie, and I might have another one this Lee Roy is looking BOMB AS FUCK and she was a freebie from the tude. We'll see, but I think she's gonna look like the promo shot in a couple weeks.

I think they have her on there again if you order $60 or something.

Ya I ran a single Lee Roy freebie and it is a very dank OG right up there with the best OGs I have come across so I ran it a few more times. Not a big yielder but finishes quick and hangs on to the OG perfume in the jar for months. Potency gets a thumbs up. I have a few "Ghost of Lee Roy" to try out.

Hmm anyone tried cali connections grape kush? My wife saw it pop up on my screen when hunting for strains for this summer promo and insisted I get it.

Ive heard some good things about cali connection so I didn't hesitate to order. It's rated favorably on seed finder but that's all the smoke/grow feedback I was able to find.

From my experience though my best strains have come from paradise and dinafem probably and they would be original amnesia. Critical+ from dinafem

And sensi star and white berry from paradise.

Serious seeds ak47...chronic....Kali mist all a++ as well. I've been interested in soma's lavender but it's very expensive on the tude. Herbie has it cheaper.

If you are working smarter you would have multiple spaces one for clones and seedlings a veg a flowering and a breeding if your expecting to be in the game long term best to think ahead and by using your clones you can use a male clone and female in the breeding room while another cloned female is in flower 2 birds one stone then you just play and grow as long as you wish or if your into the fem. Seeds which some are just spray as for cleaning the spaces using bleach with water disinfectant soap and also water itself kills pollen so like I said work smarter not harder besides everyone knows it takes a good while to say you stabilized a cross start soon as possible

Great points Don. Id love to start breeding. Do you use a tent for breeding? I imagine that would be easier to clean and less likely to spread pollen to other plants unintentionally or am I incorrect?

Thanks brother! And yes of course less of a head ache also useing different pollination techniques should be considered depending on your environment using paint brushes or q tips to open air pollination and for cleaning using a spray mixture of your choosing and wipe down with a rag its easy also with a tent you can get down to the nitty gritty and really let that puppy shine good luck brother and happy growing!!bongsmilie:bigjoint::hump::peace::weed:
