No seeds, WTH ?

Never thought I'd see the day, I can't even find bag seeds. People used to give them by the hundreds. Eveyone seems to get the good stuff these days. It might just be because we're older now, and don't want to deal with crap weed too. I know I need something soon though. Any damn thing at this point.

It's a more sophisticated world than it was 25 or more years ago. MUCH more of the stuff you buy is grown from feminized seed, what we always called sinsemilla. No bag seed to work with! On the flip side, it used to be that ordering seeds to grow was a major production, and now it isn't. Call any of 2 dozen seed houses, and for not much over $50, they will ship seeds from any of dozens of strains right to your door. If you're in more of a rush, maybe there is a local dispensary that carries seeds. In my area, there are probably a dozen within an hour's drive. Several are outlets for major seed breeders. You can get a handful of beans for what it costs to take the missus out for dinner.

Yeah, I'm working with 0 income right now, or I would have already done that. I'm waiting for my disability to kick in. Surviving off only my wifes Walgreens pay for now. I was just ranting a little. I didn't really expect any replies. Thanks though !

Bag seed is about 95% of the time from a stressed female that produces male flowers, a monoecious hermaphrodite (which is not a true hermaphrodite).

You can get a monoecious hermaphrodite from feminized seeds just as easily as from regular seeds.
Some may be seeing less bagseed as a result of better growing techniques.

Good to know. That might be what happened to my Strawberry Blue. Trying to think what the stress would have been. One bud got too close to the lights, and singed off some of the pistils. It was right after that I noticed a few male flowers. It also got a bit wilt-y from lack of water over the holiday weekend. Maybe one or both caused the monoecious hermaphrodite?

That might have done it. Heat and over feeding are probably the biggest causes of monoecious hermaphrodites.
