I really hope i can grow some potent shit, more than a huge yeild for my first time honestly. I can see why you said you got bored cause theres just not much to do lol, mix, water, done. Right now thats perfect but after this crop or one more i'll definitely start diving into some more interesting methods. That actually sounds very cool. Instead of feeding the plant when you see deficiency its moreso planning and making sure it has everything beforehand? And the switch from veg to flower comes from the mix change? And jeez so i see what you mean you just gotta plan your nutes so it has time to break down into available forms. Everything goes to plan and their great, if it doesnt youre a little screwed eh? lol Sounds alot more funt though either way! It's weird that those are 6500k, i have the 6500ks and they look nowhere near as blue, maybe just the white balance in the pic or something though. N about the heat, you didnt seem to be using a big smpace so it would get pretty toasty, if you dont have air blowin on them they get hot pretty damn quick ... the cookies plants multiple burned tops will tell ya that, don't eve gotta ask.... LOL. Damn tho, simple enough nute lineup for sure. Sounds like as as long as you make sure you know what youre doing before you do it, it's a great way to go with growing. I'm thinking I will be trying it in the near future. If you do see those burns, would you be able to flush the same way as a synthetic grow? Or does it present bigger problems cause of the "slower" nature of the nutes?

Even by eye they look blue. Not that blue, but really close. Those are made by Phillips. 6500k really looks blue like that. Same with 6500k headlights. They are illegal here because they have too much noticeable blue. Looks pretty much like a blue sky.

I wish i just bought a 400w or even 250w switchable system for this first one so badly. I was worried about heat but im sure i could've figured it out ... such a noob decision lol i thought it would be easier ... definitely not tho, had to jury rig everything and its annoying with the raising of lights n such ... hps wouldve been like $50 and 80 watts of elec. more but double the lumens ... ohh well learning experiencei guess, and 300+ watts of side lighting later on... lol

Yup, i get 2x the yield with a 400hps vs 650 watts of cfl's. Here is a color chart! The best way to take a pic of a bulb is individual with the iso settings low in a dark room. The reflector does make it look more blue than it is, in person though it is blue almost like that. Same color as the indoor chart. Matches with a blue sky.

If you really want quality + yield, hortilux blue is the cheapest way to go, chip on board led's would be the more pricey option.

Yeah mh runs hotter, less efficient. Requires more power for the same lumens as hps. The 5-10 ounce grows were pretty much the top of the barrel for my chemical grows w/ all yielding strains that vegged 6-7 weeks. Some people claimed to make a pound under a 400! That idk how the hell. I smoke alot, dab alot, and smoke alot lol. I dont sell or have patients, i just like to stock up! Its nice smoking some medication self growned 12 months ago! And believe me, if you got it, it goes fast! Sorry for the grammer. A little cut right now

The crazy cheap system's got both so ill just use their mh and buy a super hps for flower! 5-10 still doesnt sound bad, half p avg would be crazy for me thats for sure but that's probably only well after getting dialed in. Holy shit, a p? Lol only way that could or *should* be possible is with hydro id think. ive looked at soil vs hydro same lights+ nutes grows w same strain and the hydro increases the growth and yeild 2x or more ALOT of the time, its INSANE how fast hydro grows ... im looking into dwc bubble buckets n hydro organics currently! very interested thats for sure. I already know my next grow will look VERY different from what i have hereNothing wrong with tokin tho my friend, when it comes to weed, i dont think*too much* exists for me lol! Smokin like youre the hulk is fun as hell and i will no dubt be blazin thru it when i have the weed to do so lmfao. Also i notice weed starts to taste real good around 5-6 months cured in anti-uv jars. http://www.herbpreserve.com/ is what i use, of course there are cheaper alternatives on amazon ect. I just like the feeling of smoking a year old fruit. Trying to get it down to a zip and a half a month , having a hard time as i recently quit smoking stoges a few months ago.

The UV jar is so fucking epic you wont even need a side by side comparison. Look at the fresh tomatoes in the curing jar for 6 months still fresh! And yes, on a hot random night, my shit can tap the mid 80's at 60%RH at 2am with the lights on, sweating at 2am! Nope not for me.

I'm going to put up pics today of everything around lights on at 7! Its gonna be an awesome surprise every time i open the door now . Too lazy to read thru my posts n see but if i didnt say it already i took an accidental clone by breaking one of the cookies tops about a week ago, So i just snipped where i broke on a 45 n put it in a water bottle filled up so about an inch and a half of stem is under then put aquarium pump hose in, put it in my grow room and near window now that i flipped, First little nub of roots poked out today! NO cloning stuff like i see either! First cloning attempt successfull(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) damn this is going great, im so glad i chose to grow! full update later!

Update, Day 50 Purp ... Since she showed pistils first day im gonna count flower from first day lol, so its day 9 flower! RIP cookie, i think i stressed her to herm or male lol but her clone lives on and ill see what happens its really healthy and i wont stress the shit outta it, probly will go too but why not right! Ill be able to compete in cup comp now anyways which is BOMB. Im going to do Pink Kush, my favourite smoke so far. T- 7 days to hps lol. Update, Day 57, Day 16 12/12

Damn i've been busy, and tired lol. Bit of neglect but she is doing good, i need some better food for her i think. I'm going to get some flora nova bloom i've read about it and i think itll be good! Hps will arrive and go up tomorrow(!!!!!!) I can't wait to not have to raise those lights AS much lol. Buds are coming in nicely and she smells real damn nice! I can't wait to see what the hps can do, beacause these cfls are doing pretty good imo! Ill still stay in this thread till theyre done though, its cool to look at the grow from the start. heres some pics!

^^ Turn that hopefully great into a fucking amazing, god damn. HPS = BEAST MODE. CFL is amazing though, truth be told. I will definitely use it again in the future, sure of that, i wanted to see how it wouldve turned out honestly, its dope how you can just take some pieces from the hardware store and whip together a grow! Once again tho ... HPS is fucking mint. lol. So many changes
and im liking all of them! Except one but we'll get thru it! I WILL FIGURE IT OUT lol!
Switched up nutes, the 20-20-20 wasnt cutting it. I now have :
-Earth Juice Elements Cal Mag
-Earth Juice Hi-Brix Molasses
-Botanicare Pure Blend Tea
-Plant Success Great White
-GH Florablend
-GH Flora Nova Bloom

I Bubbled all the organic nutes + great white a 1 G/Min air pump only for four hours the first time, will see if i get a tea effect when bubbing it for longer. I just might buy some EWC to add in to it ...
I just normally fed the Flora Nova (I know, not organic lol) and put some extra cal mag because of the yellowing I'm seeing (that wont go away ... we'll see about that though) Shes drinking alot more now, and ill tweak my feedings now that i have a lot more control over the ratio of N-P-K and other nutes. All buds and New Growth are looking A-1 though, i couldnt be happier. So many side branches everywhere and the buds look bomb! Starting to see some trichs! N THE SMELL! I need to take care of the leaves t the bottom but i have a feeling this will be some good Its so exciting lol i already got big plans for the next one! Heres a pic of the nutes, and a bunch of the lady!!
