I can grow them all year long down here but i have to make a sunscreen to puy over my beds right now the best crops to grow here are okra, black eyed peas, and my arugala grows great this time of year.
I love checking out other people gardens so no worry's there. What kind of tomatoes are those? beautiful flowers I have similar looking ones on some trees.ok, ok, so a few of the pix aren't tomatoes, lol, but where else can i show off my non canna plants at??

Interesting experiment I've never seen tomatoes grown in dwc before. They are indoor right? and which variety are they? Some real awesome plants going in this thread
Heres my dwc tomato experiment. They've been in the buckets 2 weeks and have almost doubled in size. I need to get some reflective material on them. Late start to spring up here in Canada

I may bury them halfway to keep the sun off the bucket and water cooler. They were on my deck but I tore it down the other day
Thats bad ass dude i always wanted to try an outdoor DWC. What kind of nutes are you using. I was gonna throw one of my DWC buckets outside with a little cheap aqarium pump. I figured my resovoir would get way to hot were i live. Make sure you post updates! I want to see those plants in about three weeks. They should be monsters. Do you use any supplement lighting or all natural? Sorry for all the questions but ive been thinking about outdoor hydroponics for a long time now and would love to see were this experiment goes! Some real awesome plants going in this thread

I would definatley put white covers around the top of the hydroton or some type of plastic so nothing unwanted gets into your buckets. If i had the time i would run an outdoor RDWC and keep my main resevoir in my back work shop were it would stay at stable temps. i just installed a mini split in there for my grow room theres plenty of space to put a twenty gallon reservoir. You might have just inspired me to try something ive been wanting to do for a long time Outdoor RDWC were the main reservoir is kept inside. It sounds complicated but the way my grow room is setup it would be easyIm using Floranova bloom throughout. Simple Lucas formula
Just straight up sunlight for lighting. I just had some extra buckets and pump laying around and when my son showed up with the starts I just went for it. Could be an epic root rot fail..we'll see
damn, looking great.. my zuch plants never get that tall.. mine usually tend to stay short, but way bushy....
Thanks racer! Mine might be a different type then yours. Plus I add in my own compost each year, made mostly of chicken, rabbit and tortoise dung.damn, looking great.. my zuch plants never get that tall.. mine usually tend to stay short, but way bushy....
