Should I FIM or top?

FIM or Top?

About 2 leaf sets ago I attempted my first FIM and failed as I did not remove enough of the new growth. Since then I have tied her down to one side, I do have experience with LST. I was planing on having her follow the rim of the pot. My question is should I top her, split the branches off in different directions to meet up on the opposite edge of the pot, or should I attempt to FIM her again? As I only have experience in LST, I am looking for the option that is going to take the least amount of time from her grow times. Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks guys! 20150621_132451.jpg 20150621_132431.jpg 20150621_132439.jpg 20150621_132540.jpg

Thanks, I was pretty sure I wanted to top them, just needed a bit more input. Unfortunately I have very limited space, I would say 36Wx24Hx24L so I need to keep hem as low as possible. I live in a small one bedroom apartment so I am just kind of testing the waters to see if I can grow here or not. I have no idea the strain, I literally found this baby growing in the grass inches from the sidewalk downtown! Right now it is about 8" tall (before being tied down), I would say 3-4 weeks old. She (I located pistils) is in a small cab in bedroom closet with closet and bedroom door closed and my whole room just wreaks! She is very very skunky. I have grown some indoor crops before and never noticed much of any smell until early flowering. Could this be a sign that she a good strain? Should I clone her?

The LED section of this site is the forefront in the Horti tech! should check out all the cool stuff that goin on now

Definitely going to take a look at the LED section, I am vegging currently just with CFLs, may have to move up to LED though, would like to keep efficiency and heat as low as possible. So you think I should top it and then start flowering a few days later? Thanks again for your input!

Top a lot. Don't put into flower after top. Let the new tops grow. I topped for 2 weeks straight. Now I'm watching her fill in. Going to be sick.

No wait a week or so after the top before you flower.and even if you dont mainline, you can top and lst..buildabeast.

Very nice Jimmy! So I just topped her, going to tie her down once the new growths start, and then I will probably flower in 2-3 weeks. Since I am trying to grow in a limited space, should I flower it early? All of my previous grows had no restrictions other than cash, and I found I got the best yields with the strains used by vegging for 6-10 weeks, same for flower.

I would say top em but wait for them to be a little bigger and for the plant to get a little more hardy I made the mistake of topping too early and some of my babies didn't make it back.
