Clones take root better if you have a heat mat under them...or the room itself is nice and toasty (85ish)

Agreed... My clone setup includes fluorescent lights, humidity dome with pH 5.9 water in the runoff tray and a seed starter heating pad... The heating pad will increase humidity in the dome as well as temperature. And it only costs $25-$30

You should also be misting your clones leaves with 5.9ish water. Until roots are established, it's the only way to feed them

I don't have a heat mat. Next year I will buy seeds off line. I just never got around to it and just used seeds that I had from 3 years ago. If it works it works, if not, nothing I can do I guess.

Your friend sounds like a dick dude. Do you have a MMJ card? If so you can go get premium clones that are rooted from a good dispensary. Be careful though, sometimes they come with pests. You could also use craigslist, but use your head, be careful when dealing with random people and make sure its rooted and healthy looking.

do you ever have a white mold problem when misting?

Ive never seen any white mold... I have two clones right now. Mine are only 3 days in but they only drooped and became limp for a night the day I cut them from the mother but then they were standing straight up the following morning. Now they only droop when I mist which is not everyday... Usually only mist if I need to refill the humidity dome though... I don't like doing anything in excess except for growing weed and smoking it lmao

Ive searched on craigslist before but I can never find any ads... Just looked out of curiosity though... My best advice... Spend $60 and order 3-5 fem seeds. Germ, veg, take cuttings and learn the process on your own rather than relying on clones from a "friend". This way you know what to look for if you do ever buy clones.

Yeah you gotta get lucky with craigslist, it really depends what area you're in. My city (LA area) has a TON of people selling clones on craigslist, but pretty much everyone and their mom smokes out here...

I'm legit on the opposite side of the states... Finding growers where I live is next to impossible unless you know people. Kinda sucks but I also understand the need to be under the radar. Usually when I'm driving around the area I live in, I swear I smell fresh flowering buds when my windows are down... But then I just realize it's the left over odor coming from my vehicle hahaha

I never smell growing plants unless I go somewhere like Melrose or Venice, but there's alot of growers out here. Everytime I go into my hydro store everyone asks how my plants are doing and the staff are knowledgeable on growing (owners been growing for 20 years, employees 15+) it's pretty great.

Yea I go to my hydro shop and they know... Guys not stupid plus he's always given me pointers.. Guy has a botany and biology degree with a bachelor's in science
