You make plums when the plums are ready. My grandmother would make plum dumplings every year out of those Italian prune plums. I expect them any time. Probably three weeks.

Look for them. Italian prune plums. They will only be around for about a week and a half. Buy a few. eat them. They are little. About two bites each.

My mom would cook them down a bit, mash 'em up and spoon over ice cream for us. Jaysus that is good
