Do i need to supplement any cal mag with promix? Ive been running coco for the last couple years amd although i love the growth i absolutely hate coco. I can never dial the shit in.PRO MIX HP Been Using it for over 20 now and its never let me down, and what ever nutes you want to use. I use Fox Farms and its pretty simple, Hydro is just to much to do, I can leave my plants without wondering if my pump is going to quit or not, If you want to go away for awhile you can use a timer and some small tubing for watering the ladies while your away, or just use it to water when needed, Good luck.![]()
Whats it called and whats your base soil you are adding it to?I buy this mix off of eBay that just requires me to add one scoop per gallon of soil, and no "baking" required. I've been using it for my last 5-6 grows with no problems.
This is how it's listed on eBay: "SUPER SOIL BAT GUANO BONE MEAL BLOOD MEAL AZOMITE MYCORRHIZAL HUMIC ACID". I've been mixing it with "Roots Organic" soil with no problems.Whats it called and whats your base soil you are adding it to?
that's sorta the catch, in order to add the nutrients to the soil mix you need to age it, unless you are adding minimal amounts.Im a hydro guy and want to switch to soil. Wanted to make supersoil but i dont have enough time to "cook" it for a few months. Can anyone recommend a good mix for me? And also will i need to add nutrients to it?
Sorry I haven't been back here in a few days been out of town and have to go again, I only Use with the Pro Mix HP is a very small amount of Jacks Blossom Booster, about a Table spoon Per Gallon Been Using it since the early 90s when it was Peters, I have Never had a problem with my grow using this. although I have made a mistake the other day and bought HP+CC OPPS CC means Coco and it messed up my plants some what, They don't look as healthy not as much growth, and I was beginning to wonder what was happening, So I have taken a good look at the bag and noticed it had the CC on the bag, looks identical but it is not, I don't recommend using that, for I had much less growth with it, I am only running 3 600 watt HPS in my grow so, its not the biggest room but it does what I need, I get around 4 OZs off a plant, not the most but the potency is very good, last time I had my blueberry checked it was 22% which I find a good strength for my patients and me. Oh I will also use a half a teaspoon of Cha Ching about a week and a half before my harvest one time... to get the sticky FFCC. Good Luck, And I find it easier to Keep I Simple and that is what I have done for years now and have had very few Problems over the past 20+ years. To many People trying to do to many things and it complicates the Process. Happy Grow .Thank you all very much for the suggestions! More suggestions are welcome!
I replied to post in form, check it out and you should be good to go and much easier and great results. Good Luck my Friend...Do i need to supplement any cal mag with promix? What kind of yield do you pull with that?1 bag each of....
Fox farm planting mix
Fox farm ocean forest
Fox farm light warrior
8-10 quarts organic perlite
1 cup peace of mind fruit and flower 5-8-4
No need to cook or add any other additives. Gets ya from start to finish with only water!
What amounts would I add of kelp,crap/shrimp, and alfalfa meal?that's sorta the catch, in order to add the nutrients to the soil mix you need to age it, unless you are adding minimal amounts.
Under your circumstances i'd just get a premade, pre-amended soil mix, and then maybe add a lil kelp and crab/shrimp meal. Alfalfa meal is another good one. Anything more than that and you'll need to let it cook.
Pretty great actually. My last harvest i yielded 14oz off two plants (7 oz each plant) under a 600w hps in a 4x5ish room. They were flowered in 10 gal pots. And the quality of the bud is always top notch. What kind of yield do you pull with that?
