i have a few different sizes, they all are pretty much the same in the end
although during this weather the smaller res is better as it means i am adding cold water daily
in a larger tank sitting around in this heat the water after a few days would be too hot, would need to actively cool it or something
although putting 1 plant in the center of a 1m2 100l tank would be fun to watch

I've got some great pics of 4 plants in a gt100 with 2 weeks of veg and SCROG. Yes, res temp is starting to be an issue in the places that I'm not using AC. It's even 28C now!

i have no idea what the res temp is, i just feel the res temp with my hand i like it to be cold if its warm at all i do not like it
i find leaving the lids open with the fans blowing towards the tanks helps,
the tanks being black does not help when they are close to direct light they can heat up quickly
even when they are covered with mylar or whatever

my room tends to be warm 85F they like that
so i think its a good idea to try to keep the root zone cold, which the seem to like too
using an AC in the UK is like against the law of logic lol
