Health Canada issues section 56 exemption for lp's to sell fresh pot and extracts

Wonder how quickly PPS/CanniMed will be whipping up oils in favor of their shit milled weed?

30mg/ml max will mean we'll perhaps see concentrates diluted in similar mixes used in E-cig type juices, VG, PG, and PEG.

The wall is falling, heads up.
Whipping and whipped before you finished typing that.
I think the only people surprised by this was us.
I bet they all have product ready to poison.

poison to sell in a different form.
i really thought that was going to be another court case for LP's to be able to sell them. interesting
i hope we get our answer soon to the injunction or better yet-i hope we get our decision in OUR favour! then the Crown will have to get an injunction and let's see how that works out

It's so easy to see the HC considers MJ as their business to do with whatever they please. And old harptler let's em because he's a greedy Son of a Bitch. I wish some mold would get on him.

Lol didnt take long at all my buddy just called and said he just got an email from tweed announcing that they will be offering oils and extracts shortly lol

Tweed's existing facilities are capable of housing new extraction infrastructure, and Tweed had already applied for a Section 56 exemption under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to conduct research on extractions. As such, upgrades are well underway to ensure availability once the necessary approvals are finalized.

Ok, but why do they need a sec 56?

You cant get one, nobody has since they created the MMAR.

I dont understand how it solves the problem of extracts are legal but the raw material is not.
It solves the problem because they waive their magic wand and all legalities just vanish. It's the Man doing whatever they please as long as it's profitable for them and their friends.
Don't think twice on the Question of " how or why "
It's done by magic...:hump:

I don't understand all this talk of corruption, although it certainly exists in the industry I just don't see the current connection. I'm not very well versed on these "exceptions".

My thoughts:
1. HC hates edibles, extracts, marijuana and people
2. Supreme Court ruled that extracts are a form of marijuana and therefore must be made available to anyone who is legally allowed to have the dried plant. They gave Health Canada 1 year to comply
3. HC decided not to waste any time and they made an exemption that applies this Supreme Court ruling to the current MMPR so that they can start selling now

What am I missing?

Not even two weeks ago the "health minister" was outraged by the sc decision now two weeks later they grant an exemption that they supposedly stopped doing so that the lps can further cash in

They can't really fight the supreme court.. that's the whole reason of the supreme court.
They probably had their lawyers review it and confirm there's nothing they could do, so the LPs would be applying pressure to get in while the getting is good and they would move forward.
The layoffs at Tilray were a problem for a hell of alot more than 61 people. http://www.healthcareglobal.com/fin...marijuana-company-Tilray-lay-off-61-employees

I want to hate them as much as you do, I just don't understand what's so special about this exemption other than the fact that they didn't wait until the very last hour to implement it.
