Getting to One gram pre watt

just woundering people's opinan on there top few things to achieving one gram per watt , I seem to have hit my ceiling last few grows at around 65-70% . That's without co2 , Would co2 be right for me My grow space is only 8x2 1/2x8 and it's not sealed I have air coming in and exiting , and my environment is pretty dailed in don't really want to redo it so just wounder peoples tricks of the trade that could help me in taking my yeilds to next level , thanx

If you have a 448 watt light, that would be about a pound!

You would need to seal it or the co2 will just leak out of the grow room, its like trying to hot box in a convertable with the top down, wont work.

Its funny when people say G/PW. In reality they only measure the watts consumed by the lights.

But there is a lot other equipment sucking electricity. Fans (exhaust and air circulating), a/c, water chilller, air/water pumps,water filters, dehumidifier and probably more.
G/PW is used as electricity cost measurement, which is very incorrect because a co2 tank is cost effective so is your nutes.
Not only that. The period from start to finish varies a lot.

Example:

Johnny veg his plant for 1 month, flower for 3 months under 400w HPS and yielded 380g.

Tom veg his plant for whole 3 months and flower for another 3 under his 400w HPS and yielded 620g.

Daniel on the other hand veg his plant for 2 months and flower for another 3 under 400w true LED with co2 tank and yielded 800g.

High yields come from a combination of genetics. Veg time. Making an even canopy and getting the light as close as possible. Feeding right.. munipulating the plants growth by topping scrogging lst suppercropping . Or in the case of vertical growing using all the angles of available light. Also hydroponics will always outyield soil inthe same amount on grow time roughly and veg plants faster and allow them to finish faster.

You didn't take a note on the veg time, can double your yields easy. Extra 2 months of veg is extra 2 months of x-amount of watts per light electricity consumption.

Me personally i'm a fan of the long veg cycle keeping small amount of plants.
And not only I also reveg after harvest for a second season.

MYTH #1: Comparing grams harvested to watts of light used
is a good indication of an indoor garden's performance.

TRUTH: Just knowing the weight of a harvest and the size of the
lamp used is not enough information to make a useful comparison
and deem how successful a growth cycle was.
All else being equal, a 6 month old plant can generally outperform
a 3 month old plant if all that is compared is the size of the plant
to the size of the lamp, even if the lamp is less efficient once time is
taken into account. A much more useful way to calculate
your success is determining your grams per day. Take the weight
of a harvest and divide it with the number of days grown to find out
how much was produced each day.
Calculating the grams per day for each harvest will allow a
gardener to compare the success of different harvests, even if the
number of days in each cycle is different.

Veg time has nothing to do with final yield. A plant that fills a 3x3 area isn't going to automatically yield more than 16 plants filling that same 3x3. From my experience the 16 will out yield the one every time.

kW/h is a better measurement just add kW reader on the growroom electricity supply. But an even better one for those who use co2 tanks is calculate your money invested and then cut them by the grams yielded. :)

Now you are talking about measurement in size. Not in watts per light. If you grow a plant for a moth that would be minimum training therefore u can not fill 400w light coverage with a single plant!

You have completely misunderstood what I was saying.

Grower a vegs for 7 days. Yields 8 lbs
Grower b vegs for 28 days. Yields 8lbs.

Grower a produced his product for cheaper because he didn't have to veg for 4 weeks.

The 3x3 area was an example. Wasn't changing units of measurement. I was simply stating, just because you veg longer doesn't mean you double your yields like you seemed to claim. If your canopy is filled by 1 monster or 16 littles, it's still filled and will yield the same.

What you say is true. But for those like me with the long veg does not affect me.
On top of all once I harvest and I reveg the second round is much quicker and for another month of veg to regenerate it comes out twice bigger. Therefore the fist round take longer veg but for the second round I yield more than the "16 littles". Because I have my scrog filled in with even canopy. I usually have the room to let it grow and add extra light for flower.
