3x3 tent grow style?

So whats your style for growing in smaller areas? Im looking to up my yields and wanna know what methods have worked good? Im willing to experiment. I have two 3x3 tents that i am flowering in currently under 400w HIDs do all growing in soil. What do ya think?

I'm a big fan of bushes myself. Huge pots, lots of soil, lots of training, lots of tops, fat ass nutrient highway stems.

But you could probably do a SOG and get similar yields; but that would be more work.

Tie a net to the 4 corners of your tent & veg until plants fill in the grid- then flip em to bloom phase for max yield- use a prefab net or loop one out of nylon cord or clothesline & I suggest using the biggest pots you can fit in your tent; I suggest 7g or 10g pots. 1 plant per 100w of HIDs is a good rule of thumb for plant count; a 4 plant SCROG oughta yield nicely for ya.

What type of training do you like most? I mainly top and LST but have had great results with super cropping and im just starting a ruin with mainling.

Just tried a few plants with a sog type grow, and would like to give that more of a try but cloning isnt my strongest suit although im getting better.

Have you had best results with bushes or is that just what you prefer? Thanks

Hey thanks, the other day i actually just got around to building a little scrog screen for my tent and put two plants under it in 3 gals because thats what i had ready. I think after this go ill try the 4 plant scrog. Do you think 7-10 gal pots would be a little over kill though?

Nope- you just can't grow a bigass plant in a tiny container- if you really want maximum yield use the maximum space you have by maximizing the available root area

Yeah seriously if you want good bushes, don't skimp on your pot size...

The bigger the better. 2 plants under a 400 in 10-15 gallon smart pots would be prime. 4 plants in 7 gallon smart pots would also be prime.

Good results come from big pots (when in soil)

Also don't skimp on veg time. Patience is a virtue, ESPECIALLY when growing cannabis.

Okay just wanted to ask because i usually grow in 10 gal pots and the size of the plants i get outa that would be hard to imagine 1 of those in the 3x3 tent let alone 4 of them. What would be a good veg time for 4 of them in the tent?

Just giving this a try for my first time on 3 cotton candy and 1 blueberry plant. What size area do you grow those in and how long do you veg for?

Flower one tent while you veg the other, space the plants out (or grow 1 big one) and run a trellis (I prefer 2 actually, 6-8" above each other, the higher one to support colas) top, top, top.... you got ages to veg on, use it to fill 75% of the bottom trellis with growth tips, then flip 12/12. In a 3x3, I would go with one 10gal or 3-4 5gal (the taller style, not the wide ass short ones) ((I always assume now that everyone uses smart pots with soil grows))

I did 6 3gal plants in a 2x4 closet.... they ended up tall, scraggly, and root bound.... I dont promote pot sizes under 5gal....
