3-4lbs off of one 1000w

Good day ppl...

I've always got a lot of info from RIU before I've recently become a member. Hopefully I can get good advice on what I'm trying to do.

Ok, so two 4x8 ebb n flo flood and drain tables, connected to a 115 gal res. Each tray will not flood at the same time, one after the other. 1000w HPS on light mover for flower tray. 600w mh on light mover for veg tray. 3 critical kush mamas and 3 blue dream mamas in 6 site ebb n flo system. 2 ez cloners. 600w mh for mama plants, and flouresents for clones in cloner. All this in a 10x10 gorilla grow tent, and panda film and/or another material to completely separate lights from mama/clone/veg section from flower section.

I will put 4 rooted clones per square foot. So 128 per 4x8 tray. One tray will be for rooted clones to veg for about a week, and second tray for flowering. During 8 week flower, I will lollipop so all will be single colas. I will also add co2 and have the right cfm from my fans for tent and etc...

I expect to get anywhere from 3-4 lbs out of my harvest from that one 1000w HPS light. Even if I get less than half a zip from each plant, I will reach my goal of 3+ lbs....correct?

Or am I missing something? Are my expectations tangible? And if not, I'm all ears. I came hear to preview my setup for any flaws before I begin.

I only have experience with some bag weed seeds I grew outside, so I'm definitely a noob. Lol. I used it as an experience to play around with topping, supercropping, LST just for the experience. But I've been studying all methods of grow, especially sog for a few months now. I know ACTUALLY DOING it and studying it is two different things. That's why I came here to the pros. And I also know there is not a such thing as a PERFECT grow. Unexpected things happen, sometimes beyond our control. That's life...

But anyway, let me know if my calculations on yeild is possible, or not. And whether you've known someone to pull it off.

Also, as a side note. I thought of not even using the 4x8 veg table, and use the ez cloner for a week of veg instead, then go straight to flower....any thought on that will be greatly appreciated as well.

Sounds like your on your way to great medicine!!!! However with all the things you listed going on in a 10x10 room you might be crowded. Just so i understand. Your going 1 4x8 table for flower, Some sort of veg clone table, and 3 mother plants in the 10x10 room?

I would have 2 thousand watts on a 4X8 tray. you won't get 4 lbs from 1 light.. no way bro. Aim for 1 and a half maybe you'll get two if you're all professional and shit.. In a tent? hell no you know how hot that's going to get. Your going to have to air cool both lights..

Impossible to get anything near 3 lbs with that set up.

If I use two 4x8 tables on each end, I will have a walkway space of 2x10 thru the middle. I will also have another 2x10 space at the end/opposite side of the tent. That space is where I will have my 6 site ebb and flow system and a 2 small ez cloners. You are right. It will be a tight fit. But if you research the gorilla tent, it is one of the best tents available. I can easily unzip and access all outer sides that I normally can't reach through the walkway space inside. If I stick with one table, I will have even more room.

Thank you for your input....I've heard that a light mover can increase light foot by triple. I've only researched it though, so I don't have the experience to know for sure. And yes, I will have light cooling tubs for my lights. I will circulate 2x the recommend cfm of air through my tent to lower heat as well. Is there anything else I can do to lower temps if need be? And I will strongly consider two lights instead of one. Thank you.

Actually I'm not. Lol. That's why I said I'm thinking about just flipping rooted clones to 12/12 outta ez cloner. And your comment just made me confirm that's what I'm going to do. Its logically common sense. Lol. Thanx.

I would ditch the tent. The tent cooks quick. If that's not possible run a window ac.. The yield isn't really important you'll get whatever you grow.. Some people use that light and get a few pounds some people get a few ounces. It's all comes down to how skilled the grower is..

The only way a light mover will triple your output is if your setup was really fucked up in the first place. I've done plenty of work with them, and they don't magically create yield, they just reduce shading. Expect a 20% bump at best from them.

Screw the tent. Waste of money. Build a room. Seal it with a mini split. 4 1000s DE if possible. you'll never get the yield you want with one over a 4x8.

If you're gonna pack them in that tight, I wouldn't veg at all. They are gonna stretch like hell going from t5 to 1000w.

If you've never grown inside before start small, don't go put all your savings into it.

If you're determined to try 4/sf-----I suggest you review how heath robinson trimmed his plants---lollypop (no side branching).

every time I hit 2/1k -----extremely satisfied----1.5/1K not too disappointed-----1/1K somethings wrong.

Actually, one of the reasons why I believed in getting 3lbs per 1000w light is because I saw a thread you were in and you stated that ppl pull 3 lbs off one light with DE fixtures all the time. So is it because I'm putting the light over a 4x8 tray? Do I need a smaller tray (sq foot area) to get the 3lbs per 1000w?

And Im glad you told me about the t5 to 1000w causing a stretch. I might switch the t5 to a 250 led. And I will take your advice and i wont veg, i will only use the led to root clones. That's vital information. Much appreciated...my pops told me to just make a room as well. That will definitely save me some money. Those tents are EXPENSIVE.

Also, yes I am putting a lot into this. I wish I can start small, but due to unmentioned circumstances, anything smaller will not make up for what I'm investing. If I can I will strongly consider.
