Can I still successfully clone from a plant that has been flowering outdoor for a couple weeks?
I frequently clone flowering ladies, you can do it rather late in the season too, just important to get them on a 24 hr schedule.Iv cloned into the first week with flowers on the branch and have heard as late as two weeks. But i assume survival rate drops quickly because topping isnt possible after flowering a few weeks either
sure, but it's not easy that way. I have lost four plants trying to regenerate them, certain strains just don't like to do that.Thats awsume. So i got a question now. Can i harvest most of the plant, put the plant under 24 hr for abit and the take a clone
Oh its completely possible the issue is that they take longer to root and then need to be revegged which takes time and energy most of us aren't willing to spend.Iv cloned into the first week with flowers on the branch and have heard as late as two weeks. Perfectly said.sure, but it's not easy that way. I have lost four plants trying to regenerate them, certain strains just don't like to do that.
I would recommend taking cuts and rooting those, regen'ing a plant can be tricky, the soil retains more moisture than it likes because you harvested most of the plant, so not only do you have open "wounds" where you cut it, but you also have a soil media that is typically retaining too much water than it needs.. mold can be a problem under those conditions
Also ya gotta get the lights on it rather brightly, but not too close to burn it.
Tricky man...
in fact the ONLY times I have lost strains is when I've tried to regen the mother.
I'd take four or five cuts, depending on your clone success %
here is a n example of a flowering clone, off some cuts I took from a flowering lady with some nice smells.Thats awsume. So i got a question now. Can i harvest most of the plant, put the plant under 24 hr for abit and the take a clone
how far in to flower? thats FAST!! thats faster then my normal clones root, you must have a good method. What do you use for rooting hormone? If any... i have heard some folks just use honey. Haven't tried that yet.here is a n example of a flowering clone, off some cuts I took from a flowering lady with some nice smells.
took it aug 1, rooted aug 9.
no hormones, no nothing, I use an ex cloner, with absolutely a sterile environment.how far in to flower? thats FAST!! thats faster then my normal clones root, you must have a good method. What do you use for rooting hormone? If any... i have heard some folks just use honey. Haven't tried that yet.
