NOT MOLD OR ROT!

Elevated K level expressing the plants "coloring potential"

Have a few big temp drops at night? 15deg night time temp drops will bring this out too!

You do not have a "problem"

Doc

P.S. I might be inclined to "tickle" the N up a tad.....what is it getting now?

Shhh! I use an organic single nutrient (K only) at a power of 0-0-6 at half strength every feed with synthetics and once a week with organic plants to express more coloring!

I would bump the N up if I were you a tad.....say sprinkle some high N Bat guano or blood meal around the on the soil.....say 1 to 1 1/2 tsp per plant if in the ground and about 5 - 6 inch's from the stem.
If in pots.....1 light tsp sprinkled on the soil surface......Your plant pic says so...and K can effect N uptake in bloom, depending on how much there is available.

Im sorry but in the picture when I first saw the purple color it looked like it was splotchy and raised off of the leaf in spots. Cool temps will bring out all sorts of colors but to me it looked damp and raised . Not cold enough this time of year outside to achieve that amount of purpling. Sorry guys that's just my opinion wich may be wrong. Maybe you could get a better close up that isn't as blurry?

It's not sustained temps that do that. Yes, longer exposure times come into play as far as speed of change but.
It's temp swings that begin the effect. Swings of 15deg at night will increase the effect when elevated amounts of K are applied.
Adding extra K will do it alone to a point. More so if the plant a direct "purple" cross. Many purple or "colored" plants need the extra K to express that color trait to a point.....

The "way" it is being expressed in his pictures is a dead giveaway!

That is my experience of many years.

Yes, I have to agree with you I think you are correct. I apologize for giving this poor guy a heart attack. I was able to enlarge the picture on my other phone and I was wrong. The purple areas are not raised and fluffy like I thought. I grow indoors for a while now and have never experienced botrytis before. I grew 1 plant 1 time outside and got bud rot.... It started out with the leaves looking greyish purple and went bad from there. At first glance I thought " bad ass" then I went and investigated it , took a good look and thought awww shit this isn't bad ass this sucks. I've been paranoid ever since. Thx for making me re think this.

I should add that you can help express plant traits by running at 11/13 as opposed to 12/12 too. This goes for color also...
