Man for the price of that Tesla I'd rather pick out a body style i love and drop it at a shop and have something built from the ground up, like this>

Go tube chassis, air ride with active control, IRS, 4wheel disk with ABS, rack and pinion,etc,etc..fully modern chasis/suspension. Turbocharged and fuel injected 500CI, 6spd auto. Modern HVAC system, sound, heated/cooled seats,HID's/LED's. I think it could be done for under $100K, be way cooler and with the motor/suspension set up right, get close to the Teslas performance...except for the acceleration..gonna be hard to beat an elec motor for instant torque..
 
Any of you guys got experience re doing interiors? More specifically custom vinyl. I want to put some designs under vinyl and can't find a foam or anything that works.
Like the 90's style

But what designs do yu mean? Like stamping or sewingdesigns? Or changing the shape of the seat.

hey @torontoke , i was wondering if you could help me out with this..
wtf is a low light when it comes to the vw world? i've seen a few pix or posts about low light bugs and ghias, and i even think maybe a bus, but have no clue what the term means, and google wasn't of much help.. tyia..

On early beetles n ghias they had turn headlights mounted much Lower closer to the bumper.
The U.S. Had headlight height laws so vw adjusted the height.
There is an actual legal height min and max that your light beam should be in. But even im not that much of a geek to remember it
I don't think the bus had a low light but some guys say low light bay to make it sound rare
