powdery mildew week 5 of flower

so I'm 5 weeks into flower and just noticed powdery mildew. I'm relatively new to this and haven't dealt with pm before.

I've seen people talking about suplhur burners. if I buy one it will take 5 days or so get here, so I need to do something in the meantime.

should I use a foliar spray 5 weeks into flowering?

I live in the middle of nowhere so going to the store isn't an option. I have h202, baking soda, vinegars...just not sure what to use since its so late into bloom.

last question, when I do get the sulphur burner, do I still need wipe the mildew off after burning, or cut leaves? or will the mildew just disappear?

sorry for all the noob questions just wanna nip this shit before it becomes a real problem

I wouldn't spray this late.

Sulphur burner will be your best friend. You'll need to seal up whatever you're growing in pretty good because it is stinky, then turn off all fans, lights, exhaust, ac etc..and run the sulphur for anywhere from 2-6 hours.

I had PM real late into flower last time, but I did burns pretty much everyday until my problem was resolved.

Yeah don't wipe the leaves, it should leave on its own

You don't need a sulfur burner.

Dilute your H2O2 with water and spray them down. That will kill off the PM for a short while and then it will come back. Order some Green Cure (which is potassium bicarbonate with a spreader).

Keep hitting them with the diluted H2O2 as needed until your Green Cure arrives. Green Cure has more staying power than the H2O2 which burns off quickly. The Green Cure will kill the mold spores with a ph change that won't hurt your plant. Both H2O2 and Green Cure are safe in flower and can be up to day of harvest.

Here is a good link on dilution rates for different concentrations of H2O2:

cool, thanks man. I was about to spray with baking soda but i wont now.

Im thinking I've got enough stuff around the house to fabricate a little make shift burner.

I wonder if can source some sulphur around my house...?

either way I stuck a heater in the room and boosted the heat to 85f. the humidity is at 45%

lol my bad bugeye I didn't see your post.

cool I'm glad the h202 will work. I'll get to spraying that and I think I'm going to build a sulphur burner regardless just for future use.

does it matter when I spray them with the h202? like lights on or off?

thanks for all the help

Well the sulphur will for sure kill the pm. I just don't know that I want that on my buds that close to harvest. I also don't want my garden smelling like sulphur during such a wonderfully aromatic time of the grow!

You need to spray them down really well so lights off with a cool bulb is safest so as not to explode your bulb by accident.

Green cure is the best solution for powdery mildew. It's not toxic and can be used until harvest. Just shake the branches after you spray so the buds don't absorb excess water.

The "BEST" solution for PM is Horsetail grass tea....

Brew it as directed and cool it down...Fill sprayer and spray down the entire plant - include the media surface....Organic, plants LIKE it and can be used the day of harvest..

Now make a chlorine sanitizing solution and spray down the WHOLE grow (not plants with this)! Every surface, everywhere......You have to kill off the loose spores or it will simply keep coming back!

Very cool.. That is the first I've ever even heard of horsetail tea. I'm definitely going to try this - Does the tea have much of an odor? Thanks for the tip.

Not when you spray it on the plant or it doesn't make the plant smell and it doesn't leave a flavor if that's what your getting at.

Any health food store has it. You can google for it......You can pick and dry your own.

This is horsetail grass
