Hey all! long time no post good to be back, its been a long time since growing a couple ounces at 16 y/o in 2 gallon pots outside coupled with LST, but anyway..
This time around the grow is still in So cal, i started from seed in peat pots and, Kellogg Patio Plus Organic gardening soil, which is worth more for your buck then the miracle grow new organic shit they have and rivals fox farms in nutrient content etc, anyway i find it to work very well for cannabis during veg and in the earliest of seedling stages, and then during flower I supply the plant with other organic ferts mainly through liquid form into the existing soil medium. This year after cutting all the males I transplanted my girls straight into tho dirt and they all seemed to love it!
So my Genetics this time around were, fire og which is doing very well outdoors, and these Rome sativas an old art teacher of mine got in Rome from bud he coped out there last time he went. The sativas are doing well too! I even have 1 that is about 4 feet tall, its a special case tho, it started flowering the first week of june a couple days after seeing pistils i transplanted it straight into a very deep hole full of newer soil, dried comfrey and stinging nettles leaves. IT loved it, since then like i said its shot up to 4 feet and has really dense crystally nugs respectively for a sativa. It hermed on me -..- because of neighbors lights but that was only for about 5 days and barely any flowers opened, since then its gone back to focusing on trich production and has really been glistening up.
Now it has been in flower since around June first and none of her sisters flowered this early she was the only one to do it, Its glistened up nice since then, and even has a little more then some withered trichomes at this point. Probably a good indication shes ready to be cut right, but Just a couple days ago i applied green lacewing eggs to her to curb white fly aphids or what ever tf is sucking the leaves along with parasitic wasps with bud worms ive encounted in mind and leaf hoppers, just to clean her up a bit before harvest. Any way do you guys think i should shake her clean and harvest asap, or would it be smarted to let the good bugs mature and hunt for 2 weeks and then cut her down at 14 rather then 12 weeks into flower. Sorry if i typed a whole passage but i wanted all the details known so i can get the best answers. Thanks all stay blessed.
