Preflower?

Do you feel it resembles a male more so than a female? Totally not being snarky, just curious.

Also, instead of making another topic, is it possible for a single leaf to pop out where the preflower does? Because the more I inspect the 3 sites where I thought the preflowers were coming in, the more they just look like leaves. Like a single, tiny leaf.

I'm not really bothering with anymore pictures right now because the quality is shit.

4 weeks Veg is a little short IMHO.
At 6 weeks I would flip to 12/12 and sex will show in about a week.
Really dependent on strain and growing style, lights, temps, airflow etc.
If it is female you can always switch it back to 18/6 for another month to get a larger yield.

If it has been in flower for a little over a week would it be too stressful to switch back to veg now?

Not in my opinion, I have flipped plants 2-3 times for different reasons.
It is a form of stress to change the lights, but minimal.

Look at monster cropping as an example.
Plant is vegged 18/6, flipped to 12/12 than 3 weeks later take cuttings of flowering plant and re- veg.

True. I think I'll give it a shot. I'll finish 12/12 today and reprogram my timer. The shorter veg time has been bothering me and the more I think about it, I think my schedule allows for a few more weeks than I came up with. Thanks for your input! :)

Longest veg I have run is 5 months ending with plants with 30-50 tops from topping and super cropping.
8-10 ounces dried under a 400 hps in 8 weeks

I hope to be able to say that someday lol. I waited too far into the year to even think about that long of a veg with this plant. I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be happy with big yields, but since this is my first grow it's been more about learning the process than anything else. Next time around I'm going to opt for some quality seeds since this grow was just bag seed, unknown strain, but it seems to lean more indica which makes me happy so I can't complain too much.

Learn to Clone, grow to perfect your skills on your bag seed.
That is what I did I spent 2 years working with clones for my 1st female plant.

I tried a variety of grow styles and learned what I like best.
My first bagseed was an 8 week Indica Dom hybrid.

It was not even from an expensive bag, pretty much mids but with some TLC it grew much fine bud.

Now I am at the end of my 1 st year w a purchased seed.

This seed (which I have at least 20 more that look to be decent) came from an oz of brick. Which I've read a lot of thoughts on growing from such quality, mostly negative, but eh, it was no cost to me and provides good practice. I feel, if I end up with a female, it's likely to be better quality than the buds I collected the seeds from...just my wishful thinking, maybe lol.

I'm heavily interested in cloning as well as breeding, but I'm sure I'll get to cloning long before breeding. I've never grown ANYTHING from seed before so this has all been really exciting for me.

Imo there is nothing wrong with growing seed from shwag. If it wasnt seeded and bricked up it would have been alot better right? Well, now youll have that strain but grown properly and it will be good weed. Maybe not top shelf, but a huge step up from mexibrick
