It's a week since the announced ship date (8/24). They have removed the information on ship times from their website, and simply replaced it with "Sold Out" -- at least for the 3000 and 4000 units.
In a previous email with A51 they said that I'd receive an email when my order ships... anyone receive an email yet?
I have to imagine that if any of the regulars to this thread receive their units, they'll let us know... Everyone seems to be really cool with the waiting, I'm just not that cool.

It's pretty high above the canopy right now.. I just chopped off about 16" over the weekend, but kept the lights where you see them now. I have to add a few more COB's so I don't have to have the lights so high. Covering an 8x8 right now with 740 watts drawn.
They are getting flipped within the next 7-10 days (fingers crossed)
I also have not received an email. Yeah Jeff just made a post on his forum. Apparently they are having issues with the freight company delivering to the warehouse. Said it will be another 1-4 weeks until shipping. Not sure if that covers all 3 models or not...

Yeah, I forgot about his forum. Just signed in and read the post, I was tempted to copy and paste it here, but I suppose I'll respect him enough to let him tell the general public -- which is what this is -- what ever he wants in whatever terms he wants. So far that's nothing, but that's his choice.
Edit: actually that post Jeff made was from 07-22-2015, 10:15 PM -- so at least it's over a week old, so maybe we have 1-3 weeks left....

It would probably be confusing to post update status because he has ordered units from the factory at least 3 times so the shipments are in 3 different stages and it would depend on when you ordered from him.The first shipment was suppose to already be at the warehouse but there is another delay from the new trucking company taking it to the distribution warehouse.

This is the kind of shit that would bother me when ordering lights, when I order something I need it in a timely fashion. Regardless of issue of truck or plane, if it isn't at the shop when I need it I have to order something else.
Someone let me know when they got their stock back in the shop please, I have been waiting a while to see if the a51 live up the the hype.

This forum kinda cracks me up 
I have never used an A51 light but from what I gather they put out a pretty damn good product.
It almost seems like the reason they even put out a cob panel was from the push on forums like this.
Then, they offer it on a pre-order bases and chong yang and friends take longer than initially anticipated to get the product to them.
Now everyone is all pissed at them knowing the product probably didn't physically exist yet when the order was placed?
If your in that big of a rush don't order shit unless it is in stock or can be picked up locally

This isn't the first time it has taken months for A51 to pony up.Good things come to those who wait, but wait too long and the next new technology is ready and then we have to wait for catch up again.

I wouldn't mind buying a couple of the new ones but it seems like area51 is always on ore order even when I ordered the rw-75s the beginning of this year I had to wait a month. I don't know if anything a ever in stock.
it seems like they're always pre order no matter if they're new or notorder shit unless it is in stock or can be picked up locally

I'm expecting a tracking number today. Man I hope I get it today. It will be a big relief. I'll let the community know when I get it. I'm sure others are just as anixous as me. I heard preorders have been through the roof!
I think Greengenes lights are almost ready as well. He's got some badass lights and a killer garden to prove it! Things will be popping here soon with these two guys lights (Area 51 & Pacific Lighting Concepts) get out to the RIU community. Respect to the DIY guys too though must admit!
