PH for ProMix

I am thinking of trying out promix as opposed to the mix I put together. I am sick of mixing it up!!!

I'm religious about PHing everything my plants get fed. So if you are a "you don't need to PH" person, I respectfully disagree and please don't say as much.

So if using ProMix, do I get the water/nute solution PH to 6.5 like soil or around 5.5 for soiless/hydro?

I used the hydro feeds and pH because I was already banging away with some DWC buckets. Kept it all the same and it rocked. Love the Pro-Mix.

I'd say in between 5.5-6 and you should be fine.

What's gotten you so tired of mixing up your soil?

I am just a lazy old fuck. Tired of the actual proces of blending them all together, In general, about three years into growing and comfortable, yielding more than I need, so now just trying to simplify.

Stopped filtering my water, that one has been a cool save of effort. But no regrets as getting comfortable is a function of controlling variables.

But on soil mix. I hate breaking up the tight peat moss (though I imagine promix is the same). I hate the dust off from the perlite. And as mentioned the blending. Plus, easier to keep one bag sitting around vs. soil, perlite, vermiculite, peat moss, and a container for the mix.

If interests you, try rm3's method. I think it's sunshine mix#4, dolomite, and calcinated clay (hydroton)
He ends his harvest with boiling water, but I think he said it helps steralize the medium and he reuses it. Think he's in the double digits for reusing the same mix
