You prove who you are when you register. You can't register to vote without proving who you are and that you're an American citizen with a social security number and a valid residence in the state you're voting in.

Requiring photo ID ensures less poor people vote because of circumstances conditional of their economic status. That is implied unconstitutional under the 15th amendment.
I grew up poor and impoverished. Guess what? I found a way to get my license and it was not a convenient location. So this is a BS excuse. I see no logical reason why anyone would have an issue with someone showing a photo id/license when voting. I see it as an important thing because we are voting for someone that can affect a change our existence for the good or bad. I have to show it when buying beer, but it isn't important to show it to vote? Get real!

If it's so important why make it harder to get ID's in minority dominated counties unless you really don't want the minorities to vote?
Can you prove this is the case, or is it conjecture?

As I said it seems fiscally based. Lets see.... if you have offices in the poorest counties that generate a low amount of revenue, and trying to keep a budget tight, you trim a little. This is my guess here. Obviously not fact.

Everyone should have an ability to vote and have access to the ability to prove who they are with photo id. You have to use a photo id for A LOT of things. Why not voting? Should some offices be left open in a reasonable travel radius? Yes. Are there still? I don't know, but it would be good to look into.

show me it's a problem worth fixing, loser.

otherwise, it is not a problem and we don';t need to do anything.
Your seething hatred is strong young padawan. Seriously, why sling the hatred so much? Does it make you feel better? Do you NEED it? Does the internet make you brave? Your exuberance of vitriol only devalues anything you have to say and makes you as bad if not worse than those you accuse.
Have you heard of the high road, and how it feels good to take it? Or do you, as suggested, like to post topics that bait people into a slander festival for you? That, unfortunately seems to be the case.

Best of luck, and hopefully happiness finds you, or vice versa.

Showing ID when voting is irrelevant as you do it when you register. What part of "you can't register without proving you're an American citizen" are you having trouble understanding? There is little to no voter fraud because of this. This is a non-issue, and conservatives know that low-income voters don't vote for them, and this is an indirect way to impact low-income voter turnout numbers. It's the good ole southern strategy, see my quote for Atwater's explanation.

You don't have to register to buy alcohol. Purchasing and consuming alcohol is not a right afforded to you under the Constitution, voting is. You gain the ability, and the right, to vote when you register. Since there has been literally less than a handful of voter fraud incidents over the past... ever, I suspect the underlying reason for providing photo identification, which is driven solely by Republicant's, is to curb minority voting.

You are clearly too ignorant to let that sink in. Maybe if we repeat it to you over and over like Faux Noose, you'll start to understand?

Get a grip homie. It's all a facade designed to make people think they really have a voice. We speak and our sound disperses and is absorbed into the empty. Our lives are merely a span through this time. It will pass so just make the best of it right now. In the end "Nothing Really Matters".

Too bad you feel that way. Some of us here have a voice that people listen to. Take me for example, if some people don't like to me, they're fired. Others listen to what I have to say much of the time as I've become their surrogate life coach.

Some people's voices matter. And if you go through life thinking that your opinion doesn't count, it never will.

Ya feel me homie?

Not feeling you homie. You need to object your post with some fun to make it interesting. In the end, nothing really matters. Embrace the moment.

Drivers licenses are a slave badge / travel pass from massa.

Why would blacks or anybody want to be reminded of having to have "permission" to travel is the question that should be asked.
or you could say what a license really is..certification that you understand the rules and regulations that society has deemed appropriate and agree to abide by them.

driving is a privilege.

So once a person has a license they will NEVER be involved in creating driving hazards or cause an accident?

The license magically prevents that from happening? Slaves required permission to travel from their masters, other than the technology of how people travel being more being advanced, nothing has changed.

Also, if you like licensure so much, do you agree that people should get permission from the government (and pay the thugs too) to ingest, grow or trade in cannabis... and without the license / privilege being granted to them, they won't use weed safely?

A license to own your own body, are you on board with that?
