Curing large colas - break up or bigger jars?

Fingers crossed I'll soon be drying and curing colas larger than quart jars I have on hand. What to do? I see snipping flowers from stem, or what, finding bigger jars?

NO matter how donkey they are when you lose 75 percent of it to drying process its not going to be so donkey like you think as well with possible stem showing in them your going to have to cut it down anyways

Well my opinion this can go two ways. If it's for personal use break it down now, less work later especially if you already been smoking. If it's for someone your growing for them folks will be impressed by the big bud so leave it be and get bigger jars. My patients tend to like their zip all 1 piece.

Good points, @BarnBuster mold concern sparked the question thanks. I'd love to go long term storage with one full cola but things to consider.

For normal smoke, any quality between breaking up or not if cured the same?

let it dry then break it down
as to w..here you see stems.. Cause not all buds will join up they look like they are but once shriviled up they will not be joined up in middle of them donkey diks as you will soon see guarantee it

Does breaking them down speed the drying process? I weighed top kola today at six ounces. They are big damp and sticky. I have to hurry these along off the drying racks cause that's just one small and a few branches of big tree... And I'm almost out of space. 10 more to trim. (That's all I did today)

Yeah I tend to cut em off the branch, but if I can I leave a little stem to handle with like a handle. I'm 100% personal tho.

I love trimming for about the first four minutes .......then it becomes the never ending pile of work it was nice to see it all hanging when I was done though ........lots of satisfaction making it through another season .......now if there's no suprises in dry cure il be one happy mofo with my turn out. Hope everyone is having a great year and awesome harvests. Just remember sore sticky fingers and smelling like dank means you were successful .......and the cause and the cure for the pain is one in the same Peace

After its ready for jars, use the larger jars that you have the break up the rest to fit into your other jars. You will have to break them up eventuality. If you have some, throw some Boveda packets in the jars to control your humidity and dryness.

I do have Boveda, plan to use them after a couple weeks curing without. And here I thought I wasn't part of the cigar crowd. ;)
