Where are the upgrades from Area 51

Just what the subject says where are the upgrades!? We purchased these lights with the promise of updating technology as new tech comes along. Why are we being left in the dark? I'm happy with my purchase but now we're getting left behind with the new cobs and new bins etc. Why not keep in mind all the people who helped build the company by buying previous Gen lights? One of the reasons I would assume most bought was the promise of upgrades. And yet the sgs hasn't even received an upgrade yet. What's the plan? A little communication would be great!

Amazingly enough this was the first question that came to my mind too when I saw the new design, and I do not even own any of their lights!

There has been plenty of talk about upgrades by A51 but the main problem is it has to be a worth while upgrade. There needs to be the right LED's at the right price to make this upgrade worth it. If it's not a big step up in output or efficiency with a good price it doesn't make sense. COB's have made this a tougher call because of their price and performance.

Additional reason.
Another thing to take into account is matching the new LED's to the existing drivers,if you need to replace all the drivers too then it makes less sense to upgrade.

How much would the upgrade be for 72 new individual diodes? at what efficiency? I know it sucks to have out dated gear but who really saw the success of cobs coming so early?they are cheaper easier and better.... So what would you do? Spend money going backwards or ignore peops complaints? Remember this is Jeff here

people tend to forget this.............the RW line are still good fixtures, no point in "updating" unless a minimum 25% ler bump

They can be upgraded...to newer xte's and xpe's...but not to a whole new line with veros. Jeff has talked about it, and if gets time will start on it I'm sure. But this new line would not be in the upgrade line by any businesses standards. This is a new product, not an upgrade.

I'd rather get an upgrade kit (including drivers) than buy the new vero units.
I think if Jeff thought there was enough demand he would make it more of a priority,it's not as simple of a task as some may think.Someone should make a thread on A51's forum for those that want a upgrade and also post here that they would like one.

Buy the new one thank you. RW isn't worth the$ for upgrade. $180W90 will cover damn near same area the 150. Then spend the money on the W90 upgrade. The SGS/RW platform isn't going anywhere, but the W is.

I have a bunch of XGS's and RW's that I would upgrade at the right price for the right bump in performance it gives me.
