Just the simple fact that it has all the right amounts of food necessary to grow the MJ when you buy a MJ specific nutrient .........so I disagree each to there own though everybody has there own ways of doing things .........but il stick to what works best and I've tried using Home Depot nutes so I'm not saying this with no experience in the matter I just find it much easier for someone new to make mistakes using whatever's cheap instead of buying something formulated for MJ which is still not fool proof but a way better option IMO. Peace
Not saying that all nutes are equal by any means, I have switched many times to find the one that works best, still looking actually and probably always will lol.. Just think Canna specific nutes are overpriced with little gain over some. I dont use miracle grow fyi.

You said it earlier Budley.
In reality, there is NO such thing as "Marijuana specific Nutes".....
Nutrients are nutrients. All the same and the only difference is the ratios they are sold at.......

BTW = MOST of the "Mj specific nutrients" are in the WRONG ratio and for the most part, you are told to use them wrong too!
Veg nutes = not long enough
Bloom nutes = To early and contain too much P&K.
Bloom boosters = for the most part. Too much and too early
Supplements = Many makers list way to many unneeded (to finish a proper, healthy and top quality plant) supplements that basically drain you wallet over doing what it promises!

Oh, and FF dry nute powders like Cha Ching, Beasty Blooms and Open Sesame are NOT for MJ and will fry your plant FAST!

Now I need to say this. "Almost any nutrient will work if applied PROPERLY for MJ needs".....For many, The feeding charts are for pushing the plant at the edge (or over it) of too much!

The idea of growing the biggest, strongest and frostiest bud possible is, well,,, a stupid idea as you should FIRST simply learn to grow a plant out without getting any problems. You should have a nice and green plant all the way to the last 2 weeks or so and then only natural yellowing and lower leaf loss......
Once you can do that and understand how you did it.....Then start playing with your method to "improve" if you feel you can or need to.

I returned to water only organic soils I build myself......So much easier and CHEAPER too!

I have used the fox farm open seasame, beastie blooms, and cha Ching both as a stand alone and with other nutes for flowering. Beautiful plants. No burns. User error!

I have one Grow room that we only use roots organics in ,including the soil we mix and use the nutrients exactly as on the label. I also have another grow that we use the entire FF line in, liquids and soluables no foliars in either Grow. I have never burned anything in either grow. I also use city tap water . The roots Grow produces very good quality , very sticky very stinky nice buds. The FF grow produces the exact same except more and bigger buds. There is a taste difference between the two but I wouldn't say one trumps the other. Not arguing a side, I do both . Just scientific observation lol

Did you miss the keywords " for flowering"? I guess so - your still wrong.

So please, I would simply love to hear your answer on how plants are going up in flames. Let the BS spew.

Yup I did miss that....

It can be done with prudence.....If your not getting yellowing moving up the plant, your grow'in with know'in.....

Don't be such a futz ;)

If I was a soil grower I would probably do living soil but my indoor spray nozzles and plants like aqua flakes lol.
What is your interpretation of "living soil"? If you use Promix or Happy Frog and add mychorrizal you don't consider that living soil?

SOMETHING is alive down there...and some of this so called 'living soil' that guys come up with adding bone meal, sea shells, etc...I was under the impression that it took a long, lonnnnng time for that stuff to break down, mix, and uptake into the plant life above?

I thought some of that stuff was for outdoor gardening...as in you put the stuff in the dirt now and it might be helpful for next spring?

I guess it depends on the promix as some contains salt based nutes I believe. I have a huge compost pile and that, peat, a bit of composted cormorant shit, worm castings and water with a tea would be all I think is needed. I also use microblift pl

What do you do to keep the bugs out? I've heard horror stories of bags stored outside being invaded, let alone compost piles.

It's why I won't buy that locally made organic soil from local nurseries, not to mention every nursery on earth has spider mites somewhere on their property.

I have never grown any kind of plant outdoors without seeing some bugs. What about the compost pile?

I'm not bringing bugs inside.

To each his own, but the way I see it if you're going to do it, might as well spend the extra few bucks and get the good stuff, because in my honest opinion... it makes a hell of a difference. Plus the cost of organics is so cheap anyways.. you can reuse soil over and over for christ sake.

I dont use soil except outside, my indoor is strictly hydro with salts. I have never done a living soil pot garden but my veggies are in living soil beds.
