I bought a Hydrofarm hot house and I took some clones yesterday. The Hydrofarm hot house has 50 sites for seeds or clones, a dome, and a base... my question is, do I put water in the base incase the roots grow through? Or is that base tray just to make sure water don't leak onto the hot pad and for water to drain through from the clone sites? I am worried to leave it dry just incase, but I am completely unsure and can't find the answer on here or in my book. THANKS!

The warmer is just to make it humid under there combined with the water. If you're using the doom I would keep water in it or turn it off if not in use. It looks nice.

I spray the plants and inside the top (dome) about 3-4 times daily to help keep it humid. Supposidly the roots grow better in a little warmer soil, so that is what the pad is partially for, i was told. So you keep water in the base also? Correct? Sorry I just want to be completely positive. These are my first clones, i want them to go the full cycle. Thanks IGTHY!
