i can spend up to 2 hours cleaning out a bowl, dont smoke the black crusty stuff where you put the weed in. get a close pin and just pick at the inside of the bowl trying to pull the resin out of one of the various holes. without a pic of your piece thats all i can say. Keep trying till you get the hang of it.

im confused...so are u saying only smoke the stuff built up in the stem? and leave all that sticky tar type stuff in the actual bowl part? good gravy im such a noob sometimes........

this method works like a charm! first time i scraped my piece i unfolded a paper clip and just scrapped along everywhere and held the mouthpiece side down, shook it a bit and tons of resin came out. bunches of clumps, like 4 fat balls all together. only smoked out the piece like... 40ish times too.

they call me the resin king around these parts,, lol,, what i find works best for glass pipes is a cuticle scraper. women know what im talking about.. they can be bought at any dollar store or drug mart or anywhere really
and for the inside find some medium guage wire... something around what a paper clip is (you can even use a paper clip)

then you have not lived my friend.. smoking dirty resin balls is like smoking bubblehash,,, and it gets you rocked!
of course you dont want the dry crusty stuff but the THC molecule is a very sticky molecule and will bind to just about anything. no chlorophyll, no foilage, just a little tar and a whole lotta THC

its all in the hands man.. and patience.. heat it up a little (but not too much) before you try scraping.. the hardest part is to not heat it up too much that it becomes too gooey,, you still want to keep some structure in it so it will come out in clumps... make sure you have a good amount in there... got any pics?

all you need is a tiny bit of resin to get fucked up. you'd be surprised how crazy that shit is.

just dig up all the tar. roll it into a giant ball. break small pieces off and smoke away. it'll get you rocked. there's no special science behind it. just scrape everything and anything off including the dry crusty stuff. to the guy who thinks the pipe is dirty and full of ash..my friend your not a real toker until you smoke the resin. tough times call for tough actions.
