i quit cool turnkey, randomly, after one aa meeting.
what a racket the goddam court system- i was on probation for weed and had to have something to show to my pro. o. for forgetting to go to my recent meeting with him (I was drunk as fuck the night before); blame it on everything sucked that year. So there I was, Hi my name is abe... what a meeting! I couldn't find a NA meeting that day, so settled for the aa one. i was 'allowed' to drink cos, like i said, the probation was for weed. when we rescheduled probie ended up sending me for thc piss test. red flagged for a no-show. luckily had just enough time to get one of those majic masking drinks and i passed the drop. that slip-up allowed me to get off probe two months early, it also helped that i lied and told him i was moving out of town. sittin across from his desk, vividly remember when he got a judge on the tele and got the-ok, thumbs-up-mthrfkr, to release me. that was 17 years ago, my life is still kinda fucked but better.
