Concealed carry hand gun for a woman

that's exactly why. You can put them in your pocket purse or what ever, they're small compact and reliable. I know a guy that had an older revolver without a free floating pin. He pulled it out and snagged it and shot himself in the leg. Hammerless with a free floating pin is the way to go. You pull the trigger it goes off.
You can 'bob' the hammer & have both worlds...

Part of being responsible is knowing yourself.
If you know that you will inevitably at some point leave a loaded gun unattended then please consider not getting one.
treat it like a child, it must be your priority not an afterthought.
Not passing judgment, some people just aren't wired to own a gun.

I'm aware of that but if you have kids then don't leave it in your purse unattended. This thread is also about responsibility.
and im sure 420 is aware of that too, you guys are jumping on him when all he said was
"we chose not to go with the revolver for said reason"
hes just being extra caution in the event for whatever god forsaken reason his child gets her hand on the gun, which im sure is unlikely he is being responsible by not getting a weapon he feels would be unsafe IF FOR WHATEVER UNKNOWN REASON got into his childs hands

he didnt say he leaves it out, he didnt say he just tosses it where ever he didnt say he hands it to his kid
i think you and doublejj are taking it too far and assuming too much when all 420 was doing was being extra responsible and thinking about the what ifs, and maybes

Don't worry guys. We're safe with guns. Just covering the basics for gun safety. My daughter has been shooting since 9 years old.
this is exactly like my thread went or turning into maybe im still bitter
doublejj went on and fucking on and on and on about how i cant have a gun because im a meek little girl who knows nothing and i will end up shooting myself with it.
when i went on to explain ive been around guns before as my dad was a hunter and was going to take every necessary precaution possible plus additional shooting lessons
i was STILL WRONG.

some people just feel they should beat a dead horse consistently they dont care what other think, and only their opinion is the correct one.

This thread is going perfectly fine. OP might even learn something.

It's cool. We don't know each other's experiences. Everyone has a different opinion.

sunni, there are countless inmates in prison that disarmed their victims of things like handcuffs & guns & knives & then use them against them. If you carry weapons & are not trained in their proper use & safety & storage, your only inviting trouble. I say what I say out of care & concern, backed by years of experience. It's not my 'opinion', I'm telling you what I know, not what I 'think'.....

Well I'm not and the facts were already posted that's why I commented the way I did. I might not have kids but I sure as shit wouldn't leave it in a place a child could grab it. They do make gunlocks and safes. In fact you get a gun lock with every gun nowadays. Guns never killed anyone its people that do the killing the gun is just a tool.

Not your fault. So did you ever get one?
no i moved to the us shortly after
, so i never ended up getting everything done for it that i wouldve needed to, in canada its harder to get a hand gun than say a rifle,
you have to get a restricted license and than you have to go to a gun safety class ontop of that , so while in pursuit of going through all the motions which paperwork takes forever , i ended up moving
but hey i could probably buy one here right now alaska is pretty easy on the gun laws, infact my neighbours wake me up every damn day they like to shoot guns before work im assuming.

i know but when someone tells you they do have experience, and plan to go through all responsible measures of learning how to use said weapon before taking it out, you should say ok good for you for being responsible not youre wrong. and dont do it anyways
thats all,im not saying what you know isnt worth sharing it totally is, but allow the other person to be able to go through with their course work and gun safety training as well

in canada you have to have your guns locked unloaded and put away so ive never seen it any other way
except for when i moved here
