that lettuce looks good
i also do a bit of lettuce and stuff in the veg space when i have room-so i have questions

what size container are you using there?(what size do you recommend?)
how many weeks old is that lettuce?
when do you harvest?

i always see really big lettuce but i think they taste better when young although i do wonder how long i should let them go for

ide say at least 2 months ive had these container butter lettuce, 1 month in the window..very little light and 1 month in the veg cab
whole lotta light, i just planted some fresh seeds ..soon as they sprout i'll have a better profile for them.
they are getting rot around the leaf center, it's like a giant brussel sprout in the center, flushin for the taste
saturday i'll cut um down 5" square pots with coco/perlite and general hydro 6-9 method from my buddy Ironhead
GH Micro, GH Bloom, total pond clarifier , house and garden root excellerator and GH Floralicious Plus
root excell for veg and floralicous for budds :)

working on my new build, here's a few pic's what i got going on, going to run the 6 COB's @ 180 watts and the XML's @ 100 watts for 24 of them
20" lengths of 5.886" HS profile, probably won't even need a fan .but we will put a center 140mm on each of the 3 bars,, wiring this clean is gonna be a little tricky
some 4 connector plugs would be sweet...links to stuff that helps= priceless
thank you guys for getting this awesome project rolling

Hey Man! Looks like you are making some nice progress on your light, great job. I like the layout of the leds in a circle around the cob.
-as far as the 4-40 tapping goes, are you using the drill bit that comes with the tap? or a slightly larger bit like a 3/32"
-I am more comfortable tapping with a small cordless drill than with a hand tap, but that may be just me..

cheers

hey bud thanks for popping in
hand tapping..i was rushing a bit too much, going to get a new one today and grab 2
i used the bit with the tap, aluminum is super soft so i wanted it nice and tight ,im trying to figure a small switch panel without making a gauky looking box
2 rockers and 1 potentimeter, also gonna need small nylon washers for those XML's to be screwed down without shorting ?
about 50 holes to go lol

I would highly suggest scrapping the bit that comes in the 4-40 kit and use a 3/32" bit. you can get a 2 pk of dewalt bits for $3. 3/32" has plenty of meat to the threads but it is just slightly larger and 3-4x easier to tap. a little tip dropped by Greengene a while back.

works way better thank you GM for that tip, im always late for the party LOL

I wanted a little advice on the XML's since i will be running 36 of them, i was thinking of splitting the diffrence to 2 drivers for the XML's 18 each
any insight and driver recommendations i would be gratefully thankful
and some of my creations in the strip club for visual enlightenment :)
