Organic compost tea burn??

Listen bro i appreciate all yr guys feedback i really do. But i dnt care if u think im a great grower or not. My inexperience comes from switching from dwc to organic soil. Its not my intent to get on here just to show how good i am. I will take your advice and i will report progress over the next few days. Thx for the feedback. +rep

Whatever the cause, who cares, just put your plants back on track by up potting and waiting it out.

Organics is like a bike tour with sight seeing along the way.

I'll stick to my hydro in the cooler months where i can control everything and know exactly why and how things are happening. Organics, you gotta just ride the wave.

Good lord man yall are so quick to throw jabs. READ before posting! I said i was going to do exactly what everyone said i should do. Up pot, water, and wait. I understand fully the dif between hydro and soil and i like hydro exactly for the same reason as you. Im the type that likes to know exactly whats being given to my plants like in hydro. Not a big fan of this organic "guesswork" in soil. Im only doing it because of high temps and unreliable electric power and another reason i dnt wanna talk abt. Anywho, i will not entertain anymore replies reguarding growing experience or other topics that are not directed to fixing my plant probs

Hell no 338 is not too hot when you aren't feeding anything, right experienced grower? It's too fucking hot m duh.No matter the source it's too fucking hot.

In organics for soil you don't check ppm nor do you "flush". Always start seedling Ina light soil then your ammended soil. Flushing organic soil removes everything from soil so you will need to literally start over. Stop trying to.overdue everything you don't need a tea aact etc every week or anything 1 time a month maybe unless you have defs other then that it should be water only.

It's just dirt but organics is not just throw shit in and expect everything to be gravy.

Organics is the use of a living creatures, bacteria and fungi, to break the large molecule ferts down to a level that can be absorbed by the roots. Chemical ferts are made in a lab and are already at that level and easily absorbed. this is why it's important to go easy when using chemical ferts. With organics like whitney farms ferts, dr. earth ferts, foxfarm's fruit and flower or tree frog, it takes time for these ferts to break down. the bacteria break the large molecules down and this takes time. the thing to do is to put organic ferts in a container at room temperature, get the soil wet, and let it sit for several weeks before using it. You can't really use bone meal or blood meal or the like without any bacteria and expect the stuff to work well. this is why the makers of whitney farms and FF boxed ferts but bacteria in with the fert. if you look at what the box contains, you'll see some scientific looking biology names and these are the bacteria and fungi that are added to the powder. chances are good that if a potting soil says it's organic, it already has the bacteria and fert in the soil. If anything chemical use requires more knowledge. with a decent amount of organic fert it should just be a water and forget it kind of thing, but it takes time for the bacteria to reproduce and break the fert down. there are organic ferts for hydro but I have no idea of how effective they are. I've heard that organics is actually better for the plant and makes the best result but I'm sure that you have to wait longer for results than hydro, so it's appears to be a trade off; speed or quality.

Im with whitebb. Up-pot, let her fill in and she will explode again. You can still burn with organics, especially when your feeding 80% roots and 20% soil.

Compost teas are live cultures that break down the nutrients in the soil. If you have made a super soil that is abnormally hot, CT will make more of the nutrients available than they previously were, making it "hotter." If you had a nutrient lockout and you corrected the pH, the CT would make the new nutrients also more available, causing another burn/lockout.

There are misleading statements that you do not need to flush organic. This is not true. If you don't flush your plants, the minerals in the plant are going to remain there no matter how they got there. If you fed your plant synthetic Nitrate, there will be Nitrogen in the plant. If you fed it organic Nitrogen, the Nitrogen will still be there. In both cases, the smoke will sting your lungs. Flush your product.

There are also organic fertilizers such as those I sell that are already broken down and made to be used directly in foliar, root feeding, or hydroponic systems. These are bioavailable just as fast as synthetics.

Quick update my plants are healthy as can be. I would just like to give my diagnosis for any future readers with similar problems maybe this thread will be useful.
After uppotting to 1 gal containers (roots looked super healthy upon inspection during transplant) the plants quickly began reaching for light. Any yellowing slowly faded after a couple days. The bigger plants were taking a bit longer to glow green again so i fed w weak AACT. Now all plants are completely recovered and growing extremely fast. My guess is they rootbound themselves very quickly after a growth surge from a AACT feeding. They didnt look that rootbound but i guess with such little soil it was a lil worse than it looked. Next time i will plant in 1 gal containers off the bat instead of 16oz cups. I was hoping to sex em in 16oz cups to minimize transplanting Now i know that was an unrealistic expectation. Anyways, Thx for everyones help!

Something that someone as experienced as you should have picked up on instantly. I came from the hydro world where transplanting is basically non existent. So whats your excuse? Your PPM is way too high at the stage of growth in soil.This is not hydro.

Plain water a few times. They won't starve. Trust me.

hahaha theyre not even burnt!!! If u could learn how to read, you would see where ive stated numerous times that their condition was never even that bad. Thru my experience ive learned to see right when a plants condition begins to decline. Thats all i was trying to say!! I caught it early and ive already began light feedings. THEYRE NOT BURNT!! Please elaborate. Ive read that you can start plants in any size container. Please sir, educate me...

Transplanting as your plant grows you pack the roots in..... Starting in a big pot your roots grow straight to the bottom.... Roots prefer to grow down

It leads to over watering also because you can't soak down the pot without roots in it.... If ya do the bottom of the pot turns into mud roots can't breath in.....

So you're left trying to tease the roots in w small amounts of water and end up w dry spots or you soak it and wait a month while the plant just sits there

I suspect that the improvement seen was more to do with nutrients in a greater amount of soil than this thing called root bound. I've read that root bound doesn't exist because when roots run out of room, they just stop growing.
