Not true. 900 watt MAR2 kicks off a crap load more heat than 1000 watt KIND. As I said, you get what you pay for.it must be a small space. and fyi watts = heat 400 watt mh is same heat as 400 watt led. 600=600
600 watt led = more heat

I'm not gonna argue about, but I have reps for both companies and displays for both, setup in my store. I know which one I'd choose for a cooler run.heat sinks. watts = heat period. it affects the room the same way period. heat sinks dissipate it differently is all.
1000 watts of LED is same heat as 1000 watts of HPS period. room temps will be the same- what you feel coming off the u nit might be different however
I didn't say I understand why, or know the physics of it, maybe it holds the heat longer, or distributes it better, I'm telling you it's cooler.look it up. its scientific fact. physics my dear watson
Is that with ac on or off? If thats ac off run it....if you get more then that swing between lights on and lights off thats when you need to fix it.highs get to about 78 and lows get to about 67
Maybe I joined the thread late, or maybe took an extra toke and am not grasping everything correctly, but I have a quick question for the OP, where is the AC unit? In the room or in the closet? Is the AC actually hanging in the window so the exhaust is venting outside the home? Not meaning to be dumb, just asking to make sure. If it is set up that way, can you duct the discharge over to the closet to better utilize the cool air? It's a closet grow, about 3x4x8. I have a small window unit in the room with a box fan and an oscillating fan. Temp stays at 77 and humidity at about 40. It justs seems like it's using a whole bunch of electricity. Can't really afford a high prices led but if the cheaper ones won't do, I'll just stick with my MH.
Thanks man..just couldn't put the picture together in my head, appreciate the clarification...I am running two advanced platinum LED's in a closet for flower and I have some heat issues, but not that bad and fans help. Not sure of the temps the MH you have put out. Do you keep the closet open?Yes, it is in the window across the room(a very small room) with a box fan blowing towards the closet. The heat is actually not a problem...I was just wondering if I'd be able to eliminate running a window unit if I switched to an led, in hopes of cutting back on some of the heat put off. I have been informed that the led (especially one I could afford at the moment) would not grow the plants as well as the MH, so I'll just stick with the MH, I suppose. Some ducting is an excellent idea that I may look into! Thx!
