I’m Canada. So we’re probably going to burn some Aboriginals at the stake, or something.

You know, to celebrate our glorious history of love and thanks…

hahahah - fuck.

Actually, ours was in October. Went to a fun thanksgiving dinner with lots of kids. It was great, I wanted to puke after. SO MUCH FOOD.

Hope you have a great one! Happy Murican thanksgiving to you!

Early dinner with friends then i help serve at the alzheimers facility where my mom spent her last years. They were so nice to her there that i wanted to give back. I am everyone's son, brother, uncle, dad. Can only handle a couple of hours of that, though. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!

I'm heading east tonight to go spend it with my Uncle/Aunt and Cousins in Spokane.
Which will be nice, since the rest of my family is back in Iowa.

I'm excited to see their orchard/farm place again, I haven't been there in a few years.
They're making a couple of turkeys and having all their neighbors and stuff over to eat in their nice barn they built recently.

Should be a good time...gonna bring a couple joints and try to sneak off and get real stoned before we eat. :hump:

First time in about 8 years that I am not doing it at home. Going five miles to the in-laws. I make a much better meal, sadly. A lot less work though. Rather have dim sum.
I think I picked up on that you recently moved. Was it across states and stuff? Far from your family? Closer to hers? Sorry just curious is all.

i love holidays. any holiday!
thanksgiving is my second favorite:)

ive decorated the house all warm and fall like. got the silverware all polished up, tables brought out. im gonna be cooking till Thursday afternoon and started yesterday. have about 30 family and friends coming. i love the gathering, seeing people i havent since last year.

and then all this week has basically been that at other peoples houses. we coordinated and worked out schedules.
so its been a great week.

plus i just pulled out like 30 lbs of stuffing. a few turkeys and hams too for thanksgiving lunch at the food pantry.

my house smells amazing.. rwminds me of when i was younger. i love it.

sooo yea. im super excited
anyways

I have my son and his family my in laws and my wife and I living on 10 acres .
So the holidays can be a big pain in the ass. Several years ago Mrs. Oldtimer and I broke from the old family tradition and started a new one. We no longer go to our family's homes for thanksgiving. It's all done at one house ( OUR'S). 3 meals in one day was a bit to much. So now at about 1:00 all the kids and grandkids and parents come to our house for one big meal and spend the day together. I'll fire the smoker up and the son and I will smoke one turkey and probably a little bit of my God bud x reeferman grapefruit and tomorrow we'll deep fry another bird for the Oldtimers thanksgiving Feast and sometime tomorrow I'll breakout some of our finest local homemade peach brandy which should be the perfect finish for a great day !
As a matter of fact I think I'll go get me a sip of the peach brandy now.
Happy Thanksgiving to my RIU family !
