58F is not an issue. It's when it starts to freeze is when it's an issue. Get the heat problem fixed. I set the lights out at 69-72F to save power.

If it gets no lower than you it was I say you are wasting money and electricity. That is not a cold temp.

You're ok with a 20 degree swing? I've always thought <10deg was ideal...Not being a wiseass lol, I'm genuinely asking as a newer grower.

If so I can run 77% lights on and no lower than 57% lights off with no issues.

I was curious about hotrodharley's post, it seemed to say high 50's was ok, no heater needed. I'm about to enter flower and I'm sure my temps would be in that range with 12hrs lights off, was planning on using a heater myself..

My light on Temps average 77% lights off they will range between 68 - 75 with heater. Plants seem to be doing good with these temps

It's my first grow so I try to follow sound advice. Hotrodharley's has given me good advice several times. I would like to know what his Temps are and how he controls them.

Do you have a temp controller for the heater.

That's like your crop getting a nice cold day as the seasons change. Do not let it happen over and over though. If temperatures deviate outside of 10 degree difference between night and day, this becomes the ideal environment for Botrytis Mold and Downy/Powdery Mildew to appear.

it would have to go through a frost for it to kill the plant, thats not to say low temps aren't bad for it. for obvious reasons it is always better to keep your temps in a good temp zone
