flushing during flower?

Is it necessary to flush at any time during flower. (Early to mid flower) or just keep the nutes full strength all the way through to last week then flush in the last week? Any advice appreciated guys.

If you dont overfeed, you shouldnt have to flush at all.Monitor your ppms in your reservoir and to a lesser extent run off to get an idea what your plants are actually using.

I dont generally flush but I like to run a little bit more water through at the transition to flower when I change my nutrient program,to clear salts and start fresh

Soil? What do you feed?

IMO, if you use a boutique multi-bottle "lineup" and do the "booster" activity in late flower, I would do water only with a lot of runoff the last 2-3 times.

I don't know if "flushing" (3x runoff?) is necessary. It seems excessive to me. But, best thing to do is try it. Then try what I suggested. Then try feeding normally through the last feed. See if you notice a difference.

(This is a religious topic for both the no-flush and flush sides. I personally think they're talking past each other and that it depends on an individual's nutrients, their style of feeding, if they overfeed with multiple bottles according to a proprietary boutique schedule. More information about who you feed, how much ppm, what your runoff ppm is at the end compared to the beginning?).

During the first week after flipping to 12/12 ill run extra RO water only through the pots. Normally i would put 5 litres to water them so i run 8 litres just to leach the salt out of the soil (promix). Then the next watering i switch to bloom nutes.

After about 4 or 5 weeks of flowering ill do the same again...

Maybe it isnt necessary but... if youve ever locked out on salt build up and crippled a crop then you know it is worth it to do this.... a little insurance.... and girls dont ever mind...

Yeah I get where your coming from. Will there be visual signs of salt build up if this occurs. Thanks for advice.

Not until its almost too late.

Your leaves will tell you. They will start to yellow and brown and die. That is them eating themselves because the cant take in nutes from the soil... at that point you have to flush to save them, but youve already done huge damage if youre in flower...

Be careful though...the yellowing and browning is also natural to a degree during late flower as the plant nears the end.... it is easy to confuse the two...

Also... the leaves will do the same thing if the plant isnt getting enough fresh air or co2....

I know what you're talking about. That's not a bad practice. However, if you monitor your runoff ppms you'll know if you need to do that, or if feeding with more runoff would prevent the need to do it (and/or, feed less). When I had lockouts the runoff ppms were key to everything.

The only main difference in your grow/bloom foods is the N-P-K so no need to flush.
Like I said I dont "flush" I do a regular feeding, just a bit more nutrient solution to get extra run off, just to clear out any unused bullshit.I never flush with just plain water.I usually only do this at the transition to flower...do I have to? Probably not unless I messed up,but I just like to start with a fresh clean rootzone going into flower.Cheap insurance.

Lets see some pics of these plants you sprayed with molasses...aside from clogging stomata and attracting an army of insects I dont see the benefit. How often did you spray them?with what dilution rate? Too much molasses just like too much of anything is bad. What kind of terpene increase did you notice? Do you have a gas chromatagraph in your garage? Please enlighten us we are all ears...
